WA whitetail hunter Posted June 7, 2016 Report Posted June 7, 2016 I know the difference between 223 rem and 556 nato, but what is the deal 223 wylde?
jtallen83 Posted June 7, 2016 Report Posted June 7, 2016 The Wylde chamber was designed to safely shoot both 223 and 5.56. You originally found it in many match barrels but it has gained popularity across the board. I have an ArmaLite chambered in Wylde and it is the most accurate rifle I own in that cartridge. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.223_Wylde

My wife's AR15 is a 223 Wylde chambering, and I haven't found anything yet to not like.
WA whitetail hunter Posted June 8, 2016 Author Report Posted June 8, 2016 Thank you that explains it all very plainly and easy to understand. As it stands now I'm good to go with 5.56 chamberings in my ar15's all I want to make sure is I can hit center mass on silhouettes.
