Trumpet Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 OK, So I've been toying with the idea of building up an AR in 6.5 CM. Now, from all I've read, it seems like Mega is where it's at as far as receivers. But....I want to build on a budget. I can't seem to find any Aero sets readily available, but have any of you used S&S Armory receivers? I've seen them on GB, but I don't know anything about them. Also, are things like FA more "necessary" on a large frame AR than on an AR15? What are some "non-Mega" receivers you recommend? Thanks

Trumpet Posted July 16, 2016 Author Report Posted July 16, 2016 Done. Now, any input? Trying to build on a budget....
survivalshop Posted July 17, 2016 Report Posted July 17, 2016 What do you want to use this rifle for ?
Trumpet Posted July 17, 2016 Author Report Posted July 17, 2016 Mainly as a casual precision rifle. I don't do PRS matches or anything, I just like the idea of an accurate semi.
Trumpet Posted August 29, 2016 Author Report Posted August 29, 2016 Got a good deal on an Aero M5 set. Now, for the other stuff...

ARTrooper Posted August 29, 2016 Report Posted August 29, 2016 Yeah, sadly we all can't afford mega (like this guy *points to self*), but Aero is a great buy for on the budget. Heard very few complaints, and those complaints I did hear about were easily fixed.
