Nothing wrong with that, it should do just fine especially with 300 Blackout, but I didn't know if you're aware of the lower.
unforgiven
For a poly lower steel inserts makes sense.
Magwa
I am another fan of DPMS lr308 here is mine over 2000 rounds never had any issue at all and I have killed 4 elk and 5 deer in 5 years with it..... works awesome as a hunting gun... I also run the AAC breakout along with a can when hunting from a stand or a stationary place I remove the can when stalking....

I'm currently chatting with a local guy who has a setup I like in the 308B with rifle length stock. Problem is it's unthreaded and I have not heard back from Witt if they can make a clamp on big enough for that barrel profile which I believe is ~ .920". Shot a friends .308 700remmy last week with a Witt clamp on brake it was like shooting a .223 at most I watched the flight trail and hit all the way to the gong 'ping!'. Never been able to do that with any bolt. Specifically: are you able to keep your target in the reticle from 'boom' until impact? Magwa
It says right in my post it is a ACC brake out comp, you do not want a unthreaded barrel period!and I can watch em drop in the scope there is almost no recoil. No
buttonbuck
Would you be able to expound on the unthreaded barrel beyond your statement please? Does Witt have bad issues with their clamp on brake? While I don't have much experience beyond the Witt clamp I shot the other day it certainly performed well for me/him. Just want to make sure I don't buy something that is dangerous or something with the clamp on brake.

Good read on brakes. Did you check out the links to the in depth evaluations? They "break" it down to the hard numbers.
