OK a friend is visiting and he has a new sig 716 patrol rifle we went,to Jays and bought a Elftman trigger the 308 model  and then took the gun to sight in the gun would not firem multiple round it would fail to feed the second round every time.....the bolt appeared to not have the energy to put the gun into battery after checking gas it will lock back with one round in it appears the sig lower is smaller than my DPMS thus the hammer sticks up farther into the gun thus slowing the bolt down not allowing it to go into battery any one know anything?????? thanks

I gather it functioned fine before the trigger swap?

Sig uses a proprietary BCG, hell about everything on it is proprietary except the stock and grip! My 716 made three trips in for work till it functioned....so far. I have not swapped the horrid factory trigger yet due to this, don't want to have to swap it back if it has to go in again. Troubleshooting online is hard because Sig keeps changing up parts from time to time, like the dual extractor set-up. I follow the rifle section on SigTalk, many there have changed to Geissele triggers without issue but I do not recall seeing anything on Elftman triggers yet.

the two are 100% incompatible the bcg is thicker top to bottom and the lower is shorter from the top edge to the pin holes thus the hammer sticks up at least a 8th of a inch higher my buddy is taking back the Elftman and getting a gisselle,it is to bad he loved the trigger.....
