Pappy1600 Posted April 24, 2017 Report Posted April 24, 2017 My recent addition to my collection, Beretta BM-59 (Semi) 7.62x51 , U.S. Springfield Armory receiver. Haven't had a chance to put it on paper yet, hopefully soon.

Really everything the M14 was, and for Italy and Beretta, modifying the old Garands was a lot cheaper. Speaking of Garands, I missed out winning one on a drawing Saturday, but a friend of mine won it.

Wellll, maybe, maybe not. For years I've been hearing the stories about the Korean Garands being returned, (more) Greek Garands being returned, and now Phillipine Garands being returned. I'll believe it when I see it. It'd be great. BTW, nice BM59. Need a range report!!!

Pappy1600 Posted April 27, 2017 Author Report Posted April 27, 2017 The gas system on these conversions have been shortened as well as the barrels by Beretta, Hence the shortened hand guards. And I am doing well , been enjoying retirement!
