Background check

I was looking through some of my dad's old magazines.  I came across this in the back of an old American Rifleman.  It seems like background checks were a little different back then.

I would not have passed the check since the magazine was published in Feb 67, which was 5 months before I was born.

Then, just a matter of having it mailed to the house.  Incredible.  50 years of politicians later things are much different.

I remember that! I had to take it to my Dad and get him to sign and send it! Ended up with a 1917 Enfield 30-06 for $23.

 Just before the GunAct or 1968 , no more mail order guns , because Kennedy was shot with one !
