sethjamto
Just picked up an ASA FAL 308 lower receiver on their last sale. It's an ArmaLite pattern lower...looking for any/all recommendations on building it up, such as manufacturers for LPK, upper, etc. I'm not locked in on the idea of making it a 308, so I'm open there as well. It will be built for deer hunting. Send some ideas this way of known parts to fit this ArmaLite pattern lower please!
98Z5V
Get the matching upper receiver for it from ASA. Save yourself the headaches of trying to match a different manufacturer's upper to it. Best advice I can give you, right now. After that, we work on the rest of it. 98Z5V
Looking at ASA's current website - you're gonna have to call them. The only thing they're showing right now is for LR308-compatible upper stuff. That's an issue. They don't even show the lower. The only .308AR they mention is a complete rifle. Rsquared
You beat me to it. I couldn't find anything on their website that even referenced Armalite.
se3388
About 20 years ago wasn't American Spirit Arms the entry level AR10's for Armalite or am I cornfused? Seems like you could only buy them at that time as complete lowers and complete uppers but not assembled rifles. Steve............ Might be true, however... - it doesn't look like they manufacture that pattern now. Might be a big hunt for that upper, if you want everything to run right. Another option, seriously, is to sell it now before you get too deep into it, and just pick up an Aero Precision M5 set and start with that. Call ASA first, man... they might have old stock laying around... EDIT - You might be thinking of Eagle Arms... EDIT 2 - a pic of your lower, that you have now, will help. I'm just sayin'... 98Z5V
Looks like it's the American Spirit Arms ASA 308... https://www.google.com/search?q=American+Spirit+Arms+ASA+308&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiS4Lu-4JbXAhUKiVQKHWyBCqgQ_AUIDCgD&biw=1366&bih=659#imgrc=_ Here's what I'm seeing available from them, for stripped uppers: https://www.americanspiritarms.com/Side-Charger-Upper-Receivers-s/115.htm Here's what they have for a complete upper - these two would work, probably: https://www.americanspiritarms.com/product-p/ua-16-308.htm https://www.americanspiritarms.com/product-p/ua-spr-308.htm It's gonna suck if they don't offer that stripped upper separately - and you have to buy the whole upper assembly. Unless you like those two options. Edited October 29, 2017 by 98Z5V

Steve.......... https://www.armalite.com/product-category/complete-firearms/eagle-arms/ They don't seem to have any AR-10 related products anymore. se3388
While living on Oahu in the late 90's a friend of mine had an Eagle Arms in 308 and it was every bit as good looking and seemed to be made as good as the real AR10 Armalite. Shot good too. Steve...........
sethjamto
Apologize for the delay response. Here are a couple of pics for reference.
98Z5V
You definitely need to call ASA. That receiver cut is certainly Armalite-patterned, and it is not DPMS-based, in the least...

I seem to remember that there was a Thread here on something like this & an AR 10 Upper would not fit this Lower , its proprietary to ASA ?
