Broke the Handle off my MEC Marksmen

  Was sizing 308 today , already sized ,but was setting the Shoulder back a little because it was just a hair above the max  case HS & the Handle twisted & broke off , on the back stroke . Had to unscrew the Die to get it out . Called MEC & since I have one of the first ( well second , they already replaced the whole press when new & there is a Thread here in the reloading section ) & they have redesigned the Handle & its attachment point on the press also .

  They will ship new assembly out tomorrow , it will get here quick , because it did last time , it was here like the next day .

I guess you got too strong after the rehab.  You don't know your own strength.

That's just like commercial receiver extension or mil-spec receiver extension!  Cut threads or rolled threads...   Damn it, man...

  They said I won't break the new design  we will see , we will see.

thats a serious week point. that bend puts add stress to what you already stressing. bummer,  glad you got decent service again!

 New parts came to day , the Handle is not larger , they just Threaded it at the same diameter instead of turning it down & threading a smaller Shank.Also looks like a different thread pitch . I will test it out .
