Brownies had that howa 1500 20" action on sale for $200, and a good $ range of stocks and chassis systems in stock. I spent a while looking at combos and reviews today.

lol...I was doing the same last night. Not sure how I feel about Howa....but the price was right and I bet it would be just fine for my skills.

The Weatherby vanguard is the same rifle as the Howa 1500.
