NEW! Old school Remington TAC-14!

I am probably one of the loudest fans of the Tac-14  and the shockwave. Since their start I have been following Dave Suarez and his upgrades. Having played quite a bit with one, I can attest that they are plenty functional out of the box. That being said, the addition of rifle sights and barrel ports seem like a great added bonus for a minimal cost.

From watching Dave Suarez, check the pattern on your chosen loads. The 14” does not pattern the same as a full size shotgun. I haven’t seen it done yet, but I wonder if there’s enough meat on the barrel to thread it for removable chokes???

I'm by no means a shotgun expert but I can't see why it couldn't be threaded I don't think I will go that route as I like the old school basic look as of now the only upgrades are a Nordic aluminum follower and the sling and shell carrier and a good cleaning and oiling with MilPro7.

There should be on the Shockwave, with it's 590 barrel.  Don't know on the Tac-14.

Having shot your Shockwave... a lot... I don’t see an absolute “need” for a choke. Especially when “Flight Control” shells are available.

Very tempted to buy a barrel porting jig. Although, for nearly the same cost, I could practically buy a complete barrel, with ports and rifle sights.
