Can anybody measure and compare ArmaLite AR-10 Gen II magazine against a Magpul .308 magazine for me please?

 

I do not have any Magpul mags or anything that they would go in.... BUT... I may have found something in my stash, that just might and I need to verify it first.

If nobody else chimes in before I get home in a couple weeks I can, just let me know what you want to compare. Somewhere here I have a few internal measurements with those and a Lancer posted, mostly focused on cartridge length capabilities though.

What measurements are you looking for my man? Or, if you want, I'll throw a Magpul mag in the mail to you, so you can do whatever you need to do with it.

What I'm wanting to check is the outside measurements of the two mags.

I received a mag that was supposed to be for the AR-10, but it does not want to fit into the rifle. 

So I was not sure if the DPMS version mag well is bigger to take the Magpul mags or not.

I'll try and get you some today, you want them mic'd?  I have the old school Armalite mags, that the one you want measured.  Or I can send you a magpul to see if it will fit. I sent magpul a message a couple years ago and ask if they had plans to make mags for the older Armalites and they said they do not.

Well damn, it's not letting me load the pics now. so here are the measurements for the armalite mag   width  on back of mag  1.020  width on front of mag .935  measurement across mag  3.080  now the magpul 1.075   1.065 and 3.075     C products defense is  1.068   1.065 and 3.085

Will not fit an ArmaLite AR-10 "B" series.

That's a DPMS-based LR-308 mag pattern, my good man. 

It'll fit the A Series just fine, though.

That would be a nice mag to have. But thus........I have "B" series also. AND............I live in Maryland. Those mags make people in Annapolis very, VERY sad.

Well... it does me no good unless I take a grinder to it.
