So this is my first build and I am just starting it but I'm trying to install my belt catch but the lower receiver already has a silver pin in place that I do not know how to remove to put my parts in any help

I just figured it out it's a screw but what size and bit

typically it would ba an allen wrench  (size small)

Probably an Allen head. Just get you Allen keys out till you find the right one.

My selector switch is a little sloppy is there any way to make it less sloppy or did I use the wrong spring

I used the bigger detent pin and it is very crisp

There's only one selector spring,if that's what you're talking about - so you didn't have the right one in there.  The Selector Detent pins are all the same size/length, no matter if it's AR15 or Large Frame AR - unless we're talking about Chinese parts here.

You need to provide more information on your parts - brand names, what vendor purchased from - before you get solid information.  There's just no way to provide you with solid information without that data.  I hope you understand that.

Without good information, we're just wasting our time, trying to figure out (guessing) what you're doing ...
