ATerr
Hi just recently purchased a Dpms lr 308 and it is the first AR I have ever purchased, and only the second gun I’ve owned. ( First is a SE-17 Semi Shotgun) I’m looking to modify or personalize it but I simply don’t know where to begin, I want to get a fore grip of some sort and the ability to run close and long range set ups. Could anybody point me in the right direction? I found a 5slotted picatinny offset rail and was wondering if I could run a red dot sight and scope at the same time while being accurate. Thanks for your time

DNP
I run a 1-4 scope on my 308 and like it enough for close and out to 400. One with a BDC might be a little better, but I don’t know that running a red dot and a scope would provide much benefit. post up some pics of your new AR. Cliff R
Here's a pic of my DPMS 308. I swapped on the A2 stock, added a lower rail section to the stock hand guard and outfitted it with a 4.5-14 Burris scope with an AO. It's a very accurate rifle right out of the box and has a really good trigger for this type of rifle. Clean, crisp and relatively light pull, not the creepy/crunchy triggers one typically sees with most mass produced AR stuff.......... The 45 degree offsets are very fast to pick up!
