98Z5V Posted March 14, 2021 Report Posted March 14, 2021 That's a truly selfless story that ranks up there with Roy Benavidez. Unreal human character.

98Z5V Posted March 14, 2021 Report Posted March 14, 2021 There's way more to the story than that, brother. When he got on that helocopter, after learning that all his buddies were in the shiit - he was only armed with a knife. He didn't take a rifle onto that helicopter. He was nominated for an upgrade to the CMOH, but the time limit expired. That law was changed, then they couldn't find a living witness to corroborate the actions. They finally found an RTO that was there, told the story in a 22-page testimony, and that finally met the criteria for his CMOH. President Reagan gave it to him in 1981. The guy was beyond-human. Just like the Doc that you posted.
