I have an Aero pistol lower and SB4 muzzle device is 5" from gas block (mid gas)  3" from edge of 12" handguard. I could take 3 1/2" take muzzle device to edge of handguard. Lower has Aero recoil system. How do I improve the recoil system?

What caliber? If it is not a large frame a carbine spring and buffer in the sb4 tube should work. A 12 1/2" barrel should put the muzzle device at the end of the rail.

.308 just cutting down a 16" with mid gas that I know runs. I figured around 13" finished

I put my pistol brace on the Armalite carbine set up on my 12.5" 308. Both of them. But I'm getting ready to pin and weld a long muzzle brake to one and make it a rifle.

Rene, here's my 13.5" barrel in a 12" handguard.  Armalite AR-10 Carbine gas  - which is Midlength-ish.  Plus 3/16".

Now to find a AR10 carbide kit.

Won't fit inside your receiver extension, brother.  Need a heavy buffer that's 2.500" long.  KAK has that.  Sprinco Orange spring will do it, too.

My gas tube was like 11 1/8" custom made.

Those were the sig barrels cdnn had.

I used the entire Armalite carbine kit not just the spring and buffer.

No I don't own any suppressors.
