MikedaddyH Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 My 6.8spcII 24" stainless steel McGowen match barrel is done. I only took 9 1/2 months, so you could say it my new baby. I still need to put a gas block on it, been waiting for 2 weeks for that part. I'll have to machine it to 0.951" so it will fit on that fat barrel.I have a Young mfg quad rail, Aero upper receiver and a Pri Quiet Brake I'll put on it.Not sure if I will put a Plum Crazy or AGP lower on it.Mike H
MikedaddyH Posted January 17, 2012 Author Report Posted January 17, 2012 Pics :Put the upper on both lowers.Tried to get a good picture of the brake. I love these they work great.

washguy Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Awesome! 6.8 is a great round and should be a tackdriver out of that barrel! congrats! Wash
survivalshop Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 If you want , PRI will machine a brake to fit your barrel contour . I had them make me one up , just call them . I think it makes for a cleaner look on my 20" HB.

MikedaddyH Posted February 13, 2012 Author Report Posted February 13, 2012 Its finished, gas block installed ! I still need to put a little aluminum black to touch up a few nicks on the finish.
MikedaddyH Posted March 13, 2012 Author Report Posted March 13, 2012 Shot a few rounds today. 4" circle , the scope needs to be sighted in and the gas port hole needs to be enlarged. This should make a nice bench gun.
MikedaddyH Posted March 18, 2012 Author Report Posted March 18, 2012 Got this gun back from my gunsmith Friday. The gas port has been enlarged and the brake aligned. Everything all loctited in place. Need to take it out this week and sight in the scope next.
MikedaddyH Posted March 22, 2012 Author Report Posted March 22, 2012 Went to the range yesterday and did a function test, 1st clip 25rounds 4inch circle at about 10:30 centered 4 inches off bullseye. 2nd clip about the same in rapid fire, I was shooting Sierra Pro Hunter 110gr at 100yards. Need to zero in my cheap scope.
