Kinda of weird to think about it, but next year will be 80 years ago.  I learned about it in History class in high school, and I don't know where the time went.  That was truly the Greatest Generation.

Once knew a friend of my Dad’s who was on Omaha Beach. Never talked much about it.

Pipe Hitters Union just sent out a Father's Day email today, and this part was in it, honoring D-Day.  Pretty damn cool of them.
