blue109
originally i had a cheapo 4x scope on my AR with a clark customs carbon FF tube. i saw some guys 3gun setup with a red dot mounted 45 off so i bought a cheapo rail section and a cheapo red dot and set it up. it worked fine for plinking but i decided to man up and buy a nice optic. Eotec went on and the other stuff came off. i love the Eotec but i found that sometimes the reticule gets washed out in the sun, and i dont like relying completely on batteries so i scored a deal on some MBUS. problem i had was that the rail sections on the tube were taller than the receiver. it looked ugly and was hard to zero. then i found PRI and all was well. the PRI tube is almost the same size as my clark tube. the rail is contured for the round tube and matches the receiver height almost perfect. also looks absolutly sweet. ordered up a 8.5" and a few 3" sections. i still wanted a 45 offset rail in case i go back to a scope because i like that setup. also mounted one for a flashlight (and to cover some holes lol) and may mount the last one underneath so i can mount a bipod or grip. i think it came out pretty nice anyway.i will say i didnt get much help from PRI before ordering. sent a few questions and received short answers or links to the products i was already looking at. i do so hate to bother companies i want to throw money at but a little extra effort would be nice.[img width=810 height=607]https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-L_G1hVZzFhw/Ty65rts_jvI/AAAAAAAAAOc/SnFeAKbcAAc/s1000/SNC00747.jpg?gl=US

unforgiven
How did you you attach the rails to the tube brother blue? Got a free float Houge tube on my RRA coyote.
blue109
thanks guys. i honestly didnt even know what a "SPR" was until i started looking for rails for this rifle. unforgiven: the rails come with screws and a threaded bracket for the underside. the cut on the bottom of the rail is made for a 2" OD tube so if its close to that it should work. only problem is you have to drill pretty big holes so the taper-headed screws countersink into the rail and make it through the tube to the brackets.. taking these back off isnt an option because the tube looks like swiss cheese. they are also pricy. i spent about $100 for the long and 3 short ones but they seemed to be the best option for what i wanted. .308LiteHunter
The rails look like they turned out great. I have a very simiar handguard and would like to add the PRI rails as well. I couldn't find the rails on there website so I contacted them to point me in the right direction. How have they held up, and do they mount secure enough for a bi-pod? blue109
Hey lite. That gun has been through a few transformations since then, but the PRI rails were rock solid. The backing plate keeps them from moving at all. I'm using PRI tubes on 2 rifles now and hopefully a 3rd soon.https://www.precisionreflex.com/Products.aspx?CAT=4814 Edited February 25, 2014 by blue109

I think I'll grab a few 3 inch rails, I'd like to put on a front site, a bipod and have a place for a sling attachment as well. Love my CF handguard, backed over it with my pickup, still good to go.
