M4-22 fun

I was at the lgs last week and picked up a Tippmann M4-22 pro.  I really enjoy shooting it.  I should have got one long ago.  It’s identical in look and function to an AR15.  And milspec trigger, handguard,stock etc.  Quality fit and finish, metal receivers, 16” fluted barrel and only weighs 4.7 lbs.  I don’t have an optic for it yet but it’s pretty accurate with iron sights and cycles great.  Inexpensive to purchase and to shoot!IMG_0627.thumb.jpeg.b1c0c8716147695eb560515fb866a4e4.jpeg

Alot of people don't know about that one, and only think of Tippmann for paintball guns.  They make a truly badass 22LR AR.

Great purchase, man, awesome.  :thumbup::hail:

I borrowed the scope from my 10/22 just to see what it does.   And to my surprise it is very accurate at 50 yds.  Over 200 rds of cci mini mags and not a malfunction.  Who would have thought that a $450 5lb rifle would be so much fun.  The trigger could be upgraded, but otherwise I am very impressed. IMG_0673.thumb.jpeg.d22e2764244be0e791cea695064d17ba.jpegIMG_0675.thumb.jpeg.fe2bed8ee623135ad4a256f1632fa8c5.jpeg

The Tippmann's have jumped up a little in price.  It looks like it's worth it.  I've also been looking at the Mossberg 715T.  Since ammo prices for .22LR have been really reasonable lately...at least compared to the Covid years....I've been stocking up.  It finally occurred to me that I don't own anything in .22LR.  :laffs:Either the Tippmann or the Mossberg with a can on the barrel would be a fun way to rid my place of squirrels...at least for a while.

Mine was $550 at the LGS.  I don’t know what they were before.   I don’t have any rimfire suppressors but I put my 7.62 can on it for a few shots and it was awesome!   I need to get a rimfire can.  After shooting the tippmann quite a bit more, I am very happy.   I tried a vortex venom lpvo 1-6x24 and hated it.   The fixed parallax 100 yds didn’t work for me.   I put a crossfire 6-18x44 ao on it and put the LPVO on my 308.   The AO and 18 is much better for me on a 22.  It’s a sub moa gun and I like it a lot

That looks like fun!   What ammo do you like?    I had some duds with the cci clean red tips, but the cci mini mags and the segmented hp have been working with no problems.
