Supposedly, these guys have one of the last of the few F4 Phantoms inside the US that's potentially airworthy when restored. They're trying to get her airworthy again, and they're getting pretty close.

There's just something about this cold-war design of a warbird. She's sleek and super SEXY.

The one by Dulles has better and more aircraft. the Air and Space downtown doesn't have near the amount of aircraft.

BIL was in air guard out of Fairchild Airforce Base years back, went to a few air shows there, those shows will be lasting memories. 👍

My father was an engineer for McDonnell Aircraft back in the day. Worked on the F-101 and was working on the prototype of the F-4 when he got hired away by Honeywell Ordnance. Later went to FMC and worked on the Bradley. Could never talk about that stuff at the time. After the Soviet Union’s fall he had a ton of stories to tell.
