I can't wrap my head around low power factor and great amount of distance. How does this compare to nightforce that for distance has a larger magnification. <dontknow>

They aren't comparing magnification so much as that they have reticule has the drop built-in

Everyone gets sucked into the "Greater Power" myth, regardless if it is magnification on scopes or powder capacity in a cartridge case or CCs/torque on a dirtbike.

Early sniper scopes were low powered 2x, 3x, and 4x.  A sniper with a M1D Garand would KILL to have a 4x scope with the quality of optics that anyone can buy these days.

As to being able to see the target, lower power gives the shooter a bigger FOV.  Unless you are scanning ant holes for someone in a Ghillie suit at 16-24x magnification, 4x does qute well...give it a try.

The above are a couple of reasons why I put a 2-7x32mm on the Freedom Machine.

I'm okay with eyes right now...only have to extend my arms most of the way to read.  <lmao>

Should be ready for heavy artillery with grape shot in a few years.
