Newbie to .308 AR's

Hey all

New to 308 AR's, but have been in the market for a 308 MBR for a long time.  Im currently on my 3rd trip to the sandbox, at KAIA at the moment on the NATO staff.  I spent my time from Apr till now doing Lessons Learned and I have a LOT of unclass and class data that has proven to me that, at least for a desert and mountain environment, 7.62 NATO way outclasses 5.56.  I look forward to doing some intensive research here to help me make an informed purchase.

I'm in both a desert and mountain environment and I concur...the 7.62x51 whomps ass on the 5.56x45.

Unless you're plinking or small game hunting.

Then the .22LR whomps ass on the 5.56.
