Nice trip down memory lane.40+ yrs. later got to be night and day difference.I remember when steel was made and shaped with a stack of computer cards.69 started highschool life was good. ;D

Most of my machine tool instructors were retired from IBM's "special projects" department.  In describing how CNC came to be, they said the machinist would be given a stack of hundreds and hundreds of cards to run a program..."And if you dropped them, you may as well shoot yourself in the head."

Didn't take long for an engineer to write a sorting program.
