survivalshop Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 All the BS weather reporting temps are "in the shade" anyway. 105° is probably closer to 115° working in the sun. Down in the pit, the sides of the berms form a crude parabolic dish, focusing that solar energy. On the shooters. Filling one of those yellow contractor igloos with ice and water, then putting bottles of drinking water in them which were taken out of the refrigerator...all the ice is melted but water is still cool (not cold) after 4-5 hours on the mid-day range. What do you need water for ? <laughs>

shibiwan Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 I'd like to see that adhesive down in the pit, when it's 130°F. Epoxy. There. Problem solved.
planeflyer21 Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 Epoxy. There. Problem solved. Bed liner may work...let it set up a bit so when you roll it on it has sharper little bumps. Hhmmm...
hollywood Posted July 8, 2014 Author Report Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) Got a chance to het out and give a test 80deg and %85 humidity. Worked very well. I don't have any explanation for the flyer beside dumba** on the trigger. Edited July 8, 2014 by hollywood
Edge Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 I use the tan colored mole skin on mine. Works great and sticks well. The glue eventually seeps through the felt (took about 2 years), but I just take it off and put a new one on. In hot weather it sure works at not burning your cheek.
