fmsniper Posted November 27, 2013 Report Share Posted November 27, 2013 So Thanksgiving break is coming, I needed a project, I have a 2-308 and a 260 AR, so I have decided to buy a barrel Blank and make a 22 -24 in barrel for my AR10(DPMS) and chamber it in 7mm-08not sure why just never see them...I know R25 in a 20 inch is out there but I figure with a Premium barrel and slightly longer, it may be a winner ordered a 26 inch Shilein 1-9 twist CM Blank, I will parkerize it when finished. barrel arrived barrel is a Shilein, super Match CM 9 twist ===================================================== back from machine shop this one is 22 inches front of barrel is .845 I prepped it for blasting in the morning ============================================================ just finished parkerizing, now letting it sit over night Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You may have to tinker with bolt carrier weight , buffer weight , buffer springs and gas port diameter size. Have fun and good luck !
