survivalshop Posted December 10, 2013 Report Share Posted December 10, 2013 (edited) Dismal year , weather was mostly real cold. I got a Deer with my crossbow & slug gun ,but Pickens were scarce . I did miss a nice buck with my cross bow early in the last week of Archery , before gun week, but that was the best of the two week hunt. County kill was 38% low this year , I hear. What I think is really cool is, I mounted my Contour HD video camera to my cross bow & shotgun & have video of the buck miss & a Doe shot at 80 + yards. I have gun camera footage of the nice buck miss with the crossbow , in the snow in open ground . It was text book ,until I missed. <laughs> There were no Bucks shot or sighted at camp the entire week.
