Spotting scope

Friend of mine is looking for a decent spotting scope that's not super expensive for elk or antalope hunting maybe something with a tripod and window mount. He asked me and I got no clue told him I'd ask here.

I went with a redfeild on the cheap (1-200$) pretty nice glass at 20-60 power haven't gone past 200yds yet? Came with a nice case and tripod.

The big stores like Cabelas was dumping the non "HD" Vortex Viper at about 1/2 price ($450ish instead of $900). There are still some stores that may have them available.

 

If the budget is somewhat limited, look on Amazon for the deals and also user reviews. I've seen some pretty decent low-budget ones.

Cabelas Barska 20-60 less than $70.00.Not bad for the money.

For $10 more a barska 25-75x 75mm scope
