I have a DPMS Sportical 308.With a collapsable stock.The problem is I need alittle more elevation for my cheek weld.I have a Leupold 3x5 x10 scope using a Nikon M223 XR mount.Is there a cheap way to get a cheek piece to clamp on or what kind of collapsable stock should I put on it.

Personally, I think you should invest in a Magpul CTR ($75) stock with a Magpul cheek riser ($20). There's also the LaRue cheek riser, which is a lot better quality, but also more expensive.

If its got an M4 stock , you can use one of these , but not sure of quality of product

Bear in mind that most of the add-on cheek risers out there are designed for M4/AR15s. Using those cheek risers on a 308AR may obstruct the charging handle from going all the way back. YMMV. :)

Thanks alot fellows.Survival shop I contacted Brownells ref those cheek risers but they dont clamp on to the factory DPMS stock.

Ummmm, can you confirm your stock?

You should have an M4 CAR stock. If you do, then both of those WILL work.

dpms ships alot of guns with that funky stock they make. it's m4ish, but not the same. pradus? pardus? something like that.

Change it out to something you can use & upgrade , instead of jury rigging one .

I always preferred the cheek weld on Vltor stocks. For me it is perfect for optics mounted with ADM Recon Mounts.

I put a Magpul adjustable on my Sporticle. Took some filing on the sharp corners in the stock's tube to fit the radius where the rib runs along the bottom of the Sportical's buffer tube.  Got it to fit tho' and got rid of the slop the factory version had.
