warthog984 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 I have an adjustable gas block. With gas all the way open it will sling spent shells forward. After I slowly regulate the gas, I have the shells going to the rear.
survivalshop Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 There are reasons to install an Adj. gas block , could be the gas system length. I prefer to make adj. to the buffer system , spring & or buffer . I have never worried about where the spent brass goes , as long as it gets out of the way of the next round thats being fed into the chamber , but thats just me .

If it's cycling and ejecting brass, I'm not worried about where the little pile ends up.

If it's cycling that fast with 175gr, is it possible that he could run into issues if he dropped down to a 150gr (or lighter)??

One way to find out . :auto: Action may settle out with a higher round count also . Edited September 9, 2014 by survivalshop
