I am a regular at the HSC. Just went yesterday to the 200 yard line, lucked out with the weather. Didn't rain while I was shooting, wind picked up heavy later in the evening though. Those seem pretty nice, for the price I like vltor products though, I think the vltor emod stock is comparable product for half the price. I had the emod with a5 buffer system on one of my ar15's, it was nice but will pull beard hair. Another range is in the worxs for our area, 600 yds. Agreed, I was talking to a buddy of mine and a few of your points came up in our discussion about components. To contribute to OP's thread. In my neck of the country, the local wally world has plenty of 12ga and 20ga shells such as birdshot, 00buck and slugs. Usually a good amount of .243,30-30, higher priced .308 hunting rounds and .300WM. I went in today hoping to find some cheaper win .308 180gr soft point(usually $18.99) to shoot up for the brass. No luck though. The gander in my area has a good amount of factory ammo, but the prices IMO are to high.

The biggest thing I don't get is all the hype over 22 LR? :cookoo: All of this bullpoopy is getting old, back in `08/09 I really didn't have a problem with locating reloading components. It is a different ball game this time around as most of you know. On Midways site almost all 30 caliber components are sold out and back ordered into summer months. It is the same with most other sites for the popular calibers. I need some 308 brass badly, I had a decent amount but has been shot out IMO.
