For S&G's I am wanting to mount iron sights on my mega maten build. I would like to eventually get a lipski adjustable barrel clamp with lyman hood, but too much money for the moment. I already have a LMT detachable rear sight and a troy ind hk style front sight. I plan on mounting the front site behind my sjc titan MB on a (precision reflex ind) PRI gas block w/ single picatinny rail for ar10 dimensions. PRI states, that this GB has a 2 1/2" rail that is the same plane as the armalite receiver. I was told by Mega per email that the plane is the same for both the mega receiver and armalite ar10 receiver. If I am not mistaken isn't the mega maten the dpms high profile? Or are the two profiles the same height(dpms and ar10)? In the responding email they just gave me a quick response with no measurement quotes. I appreciate all the info. We were outside a most of the day walking the property and refilling some of the feeders that are setup. Went inside to get something to eat for a little bit, we were fixing to go back out at 6pm but heavy rains with lightning kept us inside. I figured so as we watched the skies, clouds rolled in before we headed for chow. All is good though, some good spots picked for setting up. My favorite being under a massive oak tree with palmetto scrub right next to the base of the tree. Trails are cut, but to pursue game you seriously need a machete.

Looking for some insight on which shooting sticks to buy for coyote hunting and general. I have just made up my mind that sticks would be a good gear to aid in my coyote efforts. My sister has 40 acres up in North Florida and they have coyote problems, she says she has seen about a dozen at a time running across their property. I see them frequently up there also, some months back I saw three of them while walking my boxer at night(9pm. shined them w/ flashlight), they were about 30-40 yds spread out. My sister has small dogs, and a couple weeks back one of her miniature pinschers was being stalked by a coyote. My sis was outside ( about 4:30pm) with both of them and said she heard the one barking like crazy so she rounded the corner and saw angel barking at the coyote that was about 25yds away. Sis freaked, snatched the dogs up and ran inside. She called FWC (florida fish and wildlife conservation) they said she was very lucky her dog wasn't taken before she got to it. I am going up there today. my BIL and I are going to set up this evening and scout things out a little(I have a dying rabbit call). Maybe kill some yotes with my maten 308. :banana: Thanks guys.

Not that costly to get into loading for 300blk, Just get a lee starter kit. I love my 300blk because the round is so versatile and with my pistol build compact and powerful. When I have the time reloading is a great hobby for me to get away from everything.

Is expensive, but when comparing to the prs it's not that much more when you buy just the lmt stock and not the kit. $289 for the 308 stock. I like it, my 308 runs so damn good with the current a2 extension w/ heavy buffer and adj. GB, I have a hard time considering buying a collapsible stock system to take its place. :hethan:

Did some rattle work in the this past week with some Rustoleum camo paint featuring colors of khaki, army green and flat brown. Got my arm brace as well and put that sjc muzzle brake on it. Haven't shot her yet with the arm brace but I have with the sjc MB, w/ supers sonics she barely moved. Before when shouldering the buffer tube it would punch into my shoulder pretty good under recoil, wasn't an issue w/ MB. Can only imagine how much more user friendly its going to be with that brace. phone camera pics We'll see how the rustoleum holds out, I am going to order Aervoe colors soon for another project.
