I've always been told to pass on gen 1 tubes and just save the money for genII or III. You will eventually upgrade, your going to lose money on the resale of the gen1.

Good to know. I talked via pm on FB with BHW they said they could make me a 16" w/ rifle gas, was thinking .750" but I may go w/ the heavier profile(.875"). Do you know if the railed pri block is the same plane as the DPMS high? I have a mega maten. I wrote to mega asking them if the pri was compatible.

Those of you running the 16" w/ rifle gas, do you see a necessity for a adj gas block? Or is this setup good to go without?

Used but not abused, dpms/sr25 pattern 18" 308 barrel that is 1x11 twist w/ midlength gas system. Little over 500 rds through the barrel, for me she has been very accurate w/ 125gr projos and 4064 (.5" groups). I am including a syrac gen 1 clamp on GB w/ gas tube, I have had no issues w/ this gb system it has made this build real smooth. $280 shipped obligatory pic, barrel and gas block only.
