I’ve always heard PSA is great with the 5.56 stuff and I’ve had great customer service from them on things I’ve purchased in the past....but. I’ve seen a lot of the crap from their 308 here and have not been impressed with their handling of it. I picture a PSA CMMG bought at CT...(I won’t even finish their name) as being the absolute unicorn of schitstorms.

I think I’ve already spotted a potential flaw in my system, but won’t know until some parts arrive. I’m not sure how those mean arms mags are going to do with a PCC upper or a short stroke system. I might wind up needing a dedicated lower to make the pricey shiit run properly. Cheap solution on the lower is gonna bite me...I’m betting anyways.

I have faith...and one hell of a safety net. I’m up for it.

I’ll take your word. Trigger ordered and the JP stuff is in. Now I gotta dress this pig. if the trigger isn’t quite what I hope, I have another gun it’ll go great in that currently runs a simple LPK trigger.

Next big decision is the trigger. I’ll take the suggestion that it needs serious pins...so that’s solved. I put the MBT in my son’s 22 and it seems nice. I don’t think I like it as much as theSSA-E, but there’s a hell of a price gap there too. Haven’t shot any other G triggers than the dedicated marksman and the SSA-E. Super 3 gun? What’s that drop in @washguy likes? Or save the money and go MBT again?

I know. I’m actually seeing how complicated I can make it. At least I haven’t asked which adjustable gas block I should go with.....those work with a piston system if you have the right muffler bearings, right? Oh, there’s no gas system...right. Ordered an upper receiver. Odin Works. Barrel will be the Taccom3g. anybody run a short stroke BCG? Have any thoughts about worth it or not?

I too like the dedicated powers, but I think I’m gonna give the mean arms mags a try. I’m looking for a PCC upper receiver. I have on on my son’s dedicated 22 from Taccom. They don’t offer it by itself on their site right now, but they have the superfeed 16” which is a 5.25”barrel with a light shroud. Considering looking at bolt options and trying to decide if it’s worth a short stroke or not. Figure I’ll build a decent upper and run a basic lower to start. If I’m not happy, I’ll get a dedicated lower going. BAD has a nice little upper, but haven’t hunted for stock yet. tear apart the plan, tell me why I’m a dumbass....but try to keep it about the choices. I know lots of non related reasons I lick windows.

You can only do so many. I’d have to look and see if long guns are limited yet. I know they were headed that way. 1 every 30 days for handguns. You could do as many long guns a month as you wanted, but like I said....I’d have to confirm now. I’m really not too worried, I just have to poke @Robocop1051 every chance I get. Although it’s kinda backfiring, because every time I hear we’re a little closer the price has gone up another grand. Pretty soon we’re gonna be in Barrett territory - though I think I’ll still by a CROM if that’s the case.

I’m digging the Mean mag insert. Then I could build one of the unfinished lowers I already have on hand and I’m free to DROS that 338 right away....hmmm.

Awesome input. Thank you. I will check out Mean Arms. I almost ordered some stuff from them a while back, but was waiting on them to release the 308 version and just completely dropped them from the radar. Only reason I’m thinking glock mags is because I already have a bin full of them.

I’ve got a few rounds....luckily Cali limits me to 10 at a time.... because they care about my wallet and really want to see me succeed in mag changes that require disassembling a rifle first.
