  1. I'll disassemble the Lee Die today to show how its a little loose in the Die Body , not a bad Idea to have it floating , but not for some Bullet designs . I catch it when it hangs up , but it slows the process down making sure the alignment is good enough for seating . Until they come out with something better , this 90 SGK is the Bullet for me to load in the 25-45 Sharps , so I have come up with something .
  2. Welcome from Florida .
  3. I couldn't find anything new on this one , but something about it was just in the news last week , we all know how slow the courts work .
  4. I found an issue with the Lee Seater Die & its why I want to go to something else . Its not a big deal , but with these SGK HP Bullets ( had no issues with the Speer Hot Core 87 gr. lead spear points )& the semi floating seating stem of the Lee Seating Die , it will sometimes catch on the Stem rim & not seat into the Stem , it catches on the outer rim , because the Flat HP of the SGK . The case & Bullet only have to be out of alignment a little for the Bullet to catch on the rim of the Seating plug . This may be because the floating Shell Holder of the MEC Press , but the way the Lee floating Seating stem is allowed to float with out a guide at some point in the beginning , can be am issue if you don't catch it . I could see a deeply seated Bullet if you are not on your toe's. The Forster is set up much better , as the photos show below . The Bullet is held with the case & guided to the Seating stem . Die Body , Case/Bullet Guide , Spring , Seating Stem & Seating Stem Body The Spring hold pressure on the Guide all the way into the Seating Stem Body My concern is the small difference in the case 's may not hold the Bullet/Case in proper alignment . I do have the Seating Die in my Shopping Cart , so when I press the Button we will find out how it works . I also need more Brass formed , I have these below to do some accuracy testing & finish breaking in the Barrel . 26.3 gr. H335 & CCI Primer with 90 SGK . Meets my 2700+fps threshold & has the most consistent ES & SD
  5. Don't forget Larue , He has a complete Upper Kit & now the Lowers to go with it , might have to wait for it , but well worth it . http://www.larue.com/larue-ultimate-762-260-upper-kit http://www.larue.com/larue-billet-lowers
  6. But are the comfortable ? I'm almost sold on them , I like them . I have Wet Boots for my Fin's . My , ( made in USA ) New Balance , are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn . I know how MilSpec products don't normally care if they make your feet feel good .They just get the job done . I didn't get six months from my last Converse , the FDE ones . They fell apart , I have a Pair of Black high tops that are 15 years old or so & they are in good shape . What has happened .
  7. I'm not a Tin Foil Hat head , but there are a lot of unanswered questions about this & I'll be the first to say , I didn't trust the last administration . Big $$ Law suite https://americanfreepress.net/trillion-dollar-lawsuit-filed-to-prove-sandy-hook-staged/
  8. I like almost all the one piece mounts , but unless I want to spend $ 200+ on a Larue mount ( which we know is one of the best ) , none of them fit my eye height , they are all too low . I have had a couple & sold them to happy new owners . I'm even questioning these Rings , their Height is said to be 0.89" from Rail to Scope Tube bottom , I need close to an inch , but with the extra height ,because the scope is a 30mm Tube , it should be very close to what I require . At least I'm hoping it will be .
  9. I ordered some 30mm Rings for the Scope yesterday . I had a hard time picking a Brand . I didn't want to break the Bank , ( so I'm cheap ) I didn't want to get a set of the massive six screw Ring type & I wanted them made in the USA . I wanted Steel , but Price kept them from almost all ( I'm cheap, OK ), so I found the Leapers UTG POI Rings . http://leapers.com/index.php?act=prod_detail&midx=962&allids=918_962&itemno=RWU013022
  10. May be because of Lead Bullets , because I hand load for everything I shoot & have had no issues with the Foreign made Pistols or USA ones . I just never heard of this issue before . What Pistol Brands ? I have cast & shot thousands of Lead Bullets & if you are having issues with them , you may need a different Bullet sizing die , but I can see the use of already manufactured cast Bullets or the Plated type . I pretty much stopped using Cast Bullets , I like the cleanliness of Jacketed , especially in my Revolvers , though I do Cast & load some for my 45 Colts still .
  11. Believe it or not , I find discrepancies with all Bullets . I always thought that Match Bullets would be above the rest , but I found thats just not true. I'm not saying the Noslers or any other Match Bullet shoots bad because of it , because most don't like Hornady because of it , they all shot just fine , but & its a big But , I'm not shooting long range , thats where the differences will probably show up.
  12. More then likely she broke her foot on the first screening of that Clip , take two !
  13. That LSA Weapons oil runs good , I used to sell a lot of it , I had cases of it in the 70's -80's . Kroil is one of the best Penetrating oils I have ever used . Good to hear the Lucas is n to all that Bad from your oil guy , 98 . I just used it on my M&P Shield to try out , after a complete cleaning .
  14. Makes you wonder how much Politics have or had to do with some of their choices .
  15. Thats a lot of Pistol with the Light on it .
  16. I'll bet it was Hot !
  17. 0.008", Check you Bullets you are using , take a sample group & measure the length each one of them . Its possible the Bullets are not uniform in length , I had some Nosler Match .308 Bullets that were giving me the same issue .
  18. I contacted Forster today to ask about if they were thinking about making a Die set for 25-45 Sharps , just to put a bug in someones brain . I happen to like their Bench rest Seating Die , between then new MEC Press & Their Seating Die , I get consistently 0.001" Run out on my Concentricity Gage , I have a couple of their seating Dies & I like the way they grip the Bullet & case to guid it all together . Not that the other brands of Bench rest Dies won't do the same , I have gotten to like the Forster Dies , they were the first to have a Die set available for the 300 BLK & that were I got my first set to check out . I have Question , for all you Braineacks , What other Caliber could I use the Seating Die for loading my 25-45 Sharps , Forster has to make it of course . My first thought was 6 mmx45 , because they make that Die Set, but the .25 cal is a little larger in diameter & not sure it will fit correctly into the Forster type of Seating system . Or do you think this is a dumbass idea & I should wait till they Make a Die set & just use the Lee Dies I have been , which work fine . I am starting accuracy testing on the load I have settled on , it has the best ES & SD , so should , in theory bet the most consistent . It'd worked for me before , its why I have two Chronographs . .25-45 Sharps The 6×45 mm is a wildcat cartridge and has not been standardized by any agency nor has it been offered a proprietary cartridge by any ammunition manufacturer. Some specialty rifle makers such as those that sell varmint rifles offer rifles chambered in this cartridge.[6] Specifications for the cartridge are derived from the necked up parent cartridge without further improvement. The cartridge maximum overall length is nominally given as 2.230-inch (56.6 mm), however, as the cartridge is a wildcat cartridge chamber dimensions may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. For this reason overall length of the cartridge may vary.
  19. You would need a Truck & a couple of Days . I can see the need for prolonged trigger time for long fire fight training , but man thats a lot of ammo , who pays for that $hit Oh , us .
  20. I think if you need this Sizing Die , you would be worried about the Chambering .
  21. So we close all the plants & Mines , by using highly restrictive EPA Rules & the plan was the Trans pacific treaty to get it all from China . So they will be able to criple our Ammunition supplies .
  22. Wow . never thought of the Lead Mines or Smelting Plants . Didn't they just close the last one or something like that ?
  23. Cant disagree with that . I'm one of them Just never knew there was so much hate for Sig , till the drop fire issue came up .
