  1. Just measured some sized 25-45 Sharps cases , & all were well under the 1.750" trim to length , most were around 1.730's". Maybe after fire forming they might grow enough to trim .
  2. Lee Dies have come a long way , I use some , just got a Lee set for the 25-45 Sharps & they seem to work fine . Actually , I have quite a few sets from my Brother after his Lee 1000 was ripped off on a home break in, he knew I had a Lee 1000. I have mostly RCBS , but have Lyman ,Lee, Redding & Forster . The Forster Match Seating Die is the most precise I have used for Seating a Bullet , Its not even a Micrometer type , easily changed over if wanted. I just got one for 308 & have a complete set for the 300BLK . You can get Match Die sets , but wow $$$$ & unless your going to do match or long range , you don't need them , you can make some fine shooting ammo with STD sets . You can always add later . Small base Dies are not normally needed , until you need one & some surplus Brass , you just could . If you don't get that Lyman Press , I would recommend a reloading set , where you get most everything you need for a Bundle price , they have sales for these kits most of the time .
  3. I chamfered the Brass before I formed it ( inside & outside the case mouth ) , seemed like a good idea , not sure if it makes a difference or not . My thinking was I wanted as clean of an entry into the Forming process as I could . I will clean & form the rest today & I'm going to weigh them , sort them after SS tumbling .
  4. 98 , are you trimming the Formed brass or are you waiting to fire form the Brass to your Chamber . I don't recall seeing a " Trim to length " any where or are we using .223 length measurement ?
  5. Annealed some brass tonight , 20 FC .223 , 20 PMC .223 , & 20 LC & also some 308 . I couldn't wait till they dried completely off , took two , one PMC & one FC & cleaned the Shoulder area of any left over Temp. indicator paint & lubed them up , then sized them or formed them , easy deal , I noticed that it looks like the FC brass is thicker even after forming , but no cracks or splits & the SS Tumbling , will make them look real pretty , if the $hit don't fuk up on me again . The polished look is from fine steel wool , to wipe any remaining Temp. Paint marks off the case . Formed PMC next to a FC .223 case FC after forming
  6. What does a Muslim Pu$$y look like?
  7. Good , straighten it all out so I don't have any issues with mine next week Quote from the first page , this is what they load COL & some 100gr. they show 2.230" , is it because of the large HP on that Bullet that you can get them that long ? "We load our factory ammo with a maximum OAL of 2.250" in order for it to fit in the magazine of an AR." If you remember , with some bullets in the 300BLK , some mags were altered or the Bullets were set back more , for the same reason .
  8. Thats the way the Commies think , its not a problem to them ! Soon you will not be able to own anything that looks like an AR .
  9. DPMS LR 308's have a two Spring Extractor Spring , on fits inside the other . Should not need a Donut or O-ring . Too much Spring pressure on the Extractor or a Extractor with a Burr or too much hook , can hold on to the fired Case too long & cause an issue like this . I had a D. Wilson that was doing the same thing & the first thing I did was clean & inspect & finding nothing wrong , issue still was there , upon changing the Extractor , issue went away . The Ejector can also cause the same issue if its Spring is weak or its hanging up or restricted from normal movement. I have seen short Ejector Springs do the same thing . . Also a dirty or rough Chamber can also cause this issue , not to mention , Ammo . Was the Ejector disassembled & cleaned & inspected , as was brought up earlier in this Thread ? You can Change one Component system at a time to see if it goes away . Being a new Rifle means nothing anymore , most are mass produced & out sourced components can show up bad in any Rifle .
  10. Hopefully for all you'all living in the Commie States of America , that the new Law suite against this new law will make it to the SCOTUS , will over turn it for its Unconstitutional aspects . The NRA has joined the California Rifle & Pistol Association in a Law suite , I know some will say screw the NRA , but they do add some clout to the Suite . With a SCOTUS that will follow the Constitution , this suite may have a domino effect to the other Commie States , if won .

Rifle length Gas Tube ( I just looked & its Back Ordered , will have to order different one from Brownells , I forgot to order the LE Wilson case gage any way , damn ! What I need , another Tac-ops 1 MechArmor Charging handle , a Scope & Rings , believe it will be a Nikon or Burrus , I like the E1 Recital on the Burrus , but just cross hairs will be fine , just haven't made my mind up yet . I checked Head Space with just the Bolt & .223 Gages & its good to go .
  12. The way I had it before I edited it , made it a very big hole I did change it once , it didn't edit the change , WTF
  13. Took some drill bits & the 3/32" fits like a glove , could be a hair larger but I'm going with it , because it fit pretty good .That would make it about the same as a 20 " rifle length 5.556 Barrel . 3/32" = 0.09375"
  14. I ended up ordering the same 90 gr. Bullets you have tested , Hand Guard & Gas Tube were also included in the order from Brownells so I'll be running as soon as that order is in . Gives me about a week to get the Brass ready . I will order more next week or so of a different flavor to test .
  15. I was wondering about a Head space Gage & found this . Looks like the .223 HS Gage will work for the 25-45 Sharps also. http://www.jgstools.com/HS Gauge Interch.pdf
  16. Talking about Gas Port Sizes , I got this from the Tactical Machining on a search . AR-15 GAS PORT SIZES Disclaimer: These are lists of compiled information from multiple sources. While we make our best effort to test and produce these should be considered for reference only. Any time you start messing with the gas port on your rifle you run the risk of destroying the barrel or causing it to be over gassed. It is much better to slowly work your way up to what you would be happy with. 17. This is in the post & I have to get some drill bits out to see what they show . My 16" 308 rifle gas port is around 0.1095" , if I'm typing the reading correct . Its a 20" Light weight Barrel , SS of course . I think I'm going to just put a Thread Protector on for now , till I do a little research on what if any benefit a different Muzzle Device made for a .25 cal. , I don't really think it will make a difference , but have no raw data to back it up , one way or the other .
  18. Damn 98 , you typed faster then me . I plan on Annealing the Brass before I form it to make it easier on the brass to do so ,but look what came today . Port is close to 0.100" , kind of large , but we will see .
  19. Ya , you must be really old
  20. Disassemble Bolt components & inspect & clean . Try different ammo Test to see if the BCG locks back on last round in Mag.
  21. Ya , # 9 @ 23.i gr. ,got it together . I'm going to use a different Powder & an 87 gr. Bullet . Mind your Brass ,Pressure rings , Primers can sometimes lie . The 3x9x40 was what i was looking at for this cartridge , I'll be using a Burris E1 2x7x35 to test & see how that works out first .
