If this is true , you will never read about it in the main stream Propaganda machine . https://www.infowars.com/report-student-with-gun-stops-mass-stabbing-at-university-of-texas/

Sometimes " Spell Check " can get you if you don't proof read your posts like you work for the Washington Post . On the subject of the AR 10 , I really don't care ( but agree with its designation only because some parts are proprietary , see where that got Armalite ) , the original company that made the AR 10 has been gone for a long time , same as the actual AR designation , I really don't care who owns the rights to it , I call a CAR, BR, MR or what ever, an AR & don't feel bad about it one bit , if you don't like it , I still don't care .

I got the Gas Tube yesterday & also the Thread protector & a complete rifle for testing . I just don't like not having my Case Gage to make sure Brass are HS correctly . I never needed one till lately , now I can't live with out checking , my Dummy fed & chambered as said . Will test until it gets in from back order . I mistakenly thought the 13" HG would cover the Gas Block , I will order a 15" & use this one for another Upper with mid length Gas System . Kinda looks ok , but any attachment of a Rail , the GB looks like it will interfere .
-
Would that cause issues with 5.556 ammo ? I'm using 20rd. Brownells metal mags with this rifle , I have to look at those . I got my Gas Tube & now have a complete rifle .

Photo's of the feed ramp would help , but most likely you would have to remove the Locking lugs completely to stop brass indentations , you might reduce it by polishing off any sharp edges . You have to be careful not to alter them too much . Are these dents on fired cases or from test feeding them ? The Rifle was not designed to feed what you & others are feeding it . The spacer & whatever they have for feed ramp system is a conversion for a Rifle designed for something completely different & you may see issues . Also remember , Brass cases were never meant to be reloaded , they are expendable & not much was designed for them to do anything but hold all that stuff together when fed & fired reliably , after that, no manufacturer designs or spends any R&D to save a spent case . Just the way it is for us Hand Loaders . As far as your Bullet design , the new design with the tapered nose , should fair better then a round nose , but only testing will confirm . Good luck .

I think the COL may give you feeding issues with that size RN Bullet , hits the feed ramp & bounces up , but can't say for sure . I use 110 gr. almost exclusively in the 300BLK , but they are all pointed Bullets , the AMax is a favorite, as is the Barnes 110 , but the Barnes is on the expensive side for my liking & the Amax shoots great out of my 16" bbl.. I keep some Barnes loaded in case I have to Hog Hunt . Just get some & try them , might work out just fine for you .

I set my COL for 2.250" & this is an old Mag , not a Gen 3 . This is my dummy round , feed fine , my LE Wilson Case Gage is still on back order from Brownells .
-
Here is the ALG I have on the 300BLK My freaking work light broke off its plastic mount so some photo's are kinda dark , not to mention , every time I go to take photo's its cloudy outside WTF . I'm right next to a large window .

If its DPMS LR 308 compatible , yes , just to test . I measured a bunch of Ejector Springs from D.Wilson & DPMS , most were 0.950" , one was 0.920" & a well used DPMS with several thousand rounds through it , was 0.908 " all not compressed of course . I would change the Ejector Spring first , if you need one , I can send you one of these , just PM me with an address & I snail mail it to you . D.Wilson has some nice kits available for Bolt Components also . -
Hand Guard & Bullets came in today , but Gas Tube won't be here till Wednesday , just bugs me it was back ordered WTF is another two days before I have a working rifle to test .I add some photo's later , I like this new ALG Hand Guard , just what i wanted for a Hunting rifle .

Got some 90 gr. Sierra 90 gr. Bullets today , so i'll be loading up some to shoot this week .

Below is a photo of a DPMS LR 308AR Extractor spring set ,small one fits into the large one , of course ., next to an AR 15 one . Even my D.Wilson & SI Defense , use the same spring set up . A donut O-ring might help , but hard to say till you try it & since I have not seen in your posts that he has yet . This is a LR version & not a G2 correct . I will measure the extra new Ejector Springs I have to compare .One thing you could do if you or another shooting friend had another complete Bolt , & just try it to see how it works . Though its not a good idea to use a already seated Bolt in another Barrel , just using it to test should not cause any issues . This will tell you the Bolt components are not the issue & to look at other things , like the Chamber being rough or wrong Buffer or Spring or even the gas system . -
Brownells started up their New Products short cut on their sight again & here is a inexpensive Barrel for a Build or replacement . http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/barrel-parts/rifle-barrels/ar-15-barrel-5-56-mm-nato-hbar-profile-prod104170.aspx?lp_pageid=add2&cm_sp=Secondary+Banner-_-Lower+Homepage+Feature-_-HHP_New_Products

I personally wouldn't buy a Rifle , with out some kind of sights or scope . I may build a lot of them with out at first . Look on line in the gun for sale sights to get some perspective of price or even the Blue Book of Gun Values , I have a couple & will look to see if its listed .

Well all this Rambo macho testosterone is giving me wood . I feel like I'm in a Bar at midnight , listening to all of this .
-
Nice ! I'm an hour away , if I ever find the time , I want to try several calibers on them things . They are every where around here .
-
You trust that Stud with a Sling , a bipod on it shouldn't be an issue . Why not just add a Rail ? A 4" , 2" or what ever . Brownells has Universal fit Accessory rails , you already have one hole to start with . Where it ends up if Hand Guard is removed , well thats another matter.

I guess its a good thing to have a quick change BBL. on the M2 , among other things . Having to adj. the HS on its smaller brother, the 1919 Browning , I can see in combat it being an issue . I think they are good improvements . https://kitup.military.com/2017/04/machine-gun-2.html

I can see why the flash on the inside of the Mag was an issue with those HP Bullets . I took some of my cans of 5.56/.223 & man there are a lot of cases that are short , below the 1.750" , I know sizing them for .223 , they mostly all will need trimming & I don't use any case shorter then 1.749" for precision/Hunting loadings , but for blasting ammo , there length doesn't matter to me . My forming to 25-45 , show a reduction it length, so any length less then 1.750" , will be shorter then my set parameters for reloading . Now that brings me to the 25-45 , if its the same trim to length as a .223 , I will be sorting my brass for a length , after forming , that will need to be trimmed to the 1.750" . Its just me & from my testing , which there is a old thread in this reloading section somewhere , that Case length makes a difference in performance , as far as ES & SD velocities , the trimmed brass at the trim to length ,had a substantial difference in those categories , with the trimmed to ,showing more consistent & lower numbers . So far most of the brass thats over the trim to length i'm taking measurements on are LC , might be why thats why most show using LC for forming 25-45 Sharps . Yes , I'm picky !
-
All thats easy to say , then you go to grab it or fight over it & it goes into battery & fires , hitting you or a fellow worker or Patron.
-
Damn their Brass is expensive , & shipping on loaded ammo is a little high , I'm not ordering $150+ so no free shipping , so I'm going to pass on both for now . I did find that LC brass will need to be trimmed slightly after sizing . Before sizing ----------------- after sizing FC - 1.740" 1.735" LC - 1.759" 1.751" I have RP yet to do & may even do some Wolf Brass , just for the hell of it . Seems to shorten the case after forming , I may just go with the LC as a final Brass alternative .
-
I have a 24" 1-10 twist HB ,that does just fine . Olympic Arms Ultra Match Barrel & Receiver's/parts with military contract M16 BCG . I Built it in 1978 or 79 , don't remember exactly . Now would I purchase another one that length , probably not . 20" is just fine , the AR rifle was originally designed around that length.

Those Guides on the side of the Mag are what was causing issues with certain Bullets in the 300 BLK & had to be altered . I never had that issue , but don't or never tried the Bullets that had the issue . Man, you really take up all that room in the mag. @ that COL. . I think I will start a little less . Could you take a photo of a 5.56/.223 in the mag next to the 25-45 . Like the one above . I'm going to order some 25-45 Sharps brass today from SRC , just to see what their length is , not that the minor length is an issue , just curious . My LE Wilson Case Head space Gage is back ordered also , kinda pissed about it , that's makes two things that were shown in stock & didn't ship .
