  1. can I come work for ya too? <thumbsup> good job though... ;)
  2. well if you decide to cross that big river to Illinois, let me know... Welcome to the site...
  3. Thanks... The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) is just one of the groups that I belong to... <thumbsup>
  4. Just wanted to see if the avatar I loaded worked...
  5. I do not have pics or personally done this... but the guys that have said you need to do some sanding to the front portion of the mag body to make it fit properly. The only down side to that is you are weakening the integrity of the mag body by doing this.
  6. I noticed Amalita started carring these also. But after looking at the web site, I have an idea for this month. Hope it's not to late...
  7. Since Eagle Arms is a division of ArmaLite, they are on the ban list also. Unfortunately it is stamped on the lower receiver as such also.
  8. Aero is another one with CA legal. You can find them here... http://www.762sass.com/product.php?p=145&cid=2&session=27ce628c4c858cc978607adde4b6a65f
  9. There are two different companies that make an ArmaLite compliant lower receiver that is not banned in California so you can use an ArmaLite upper on in all day long.
  10. I might even try to make it up for that if I can get the time off.
  11. I know that my AR10 carbine barrel is a stainless steel barrel and it was sent to http://www.predatorcustomshop.com/ for ceramic coating. ArmaLite has used them for quite a few jobs like their SSASS rifle.
  12. If you use it on an ArmaLite AR10, you will want an actual AR10 receiver extension tube for the AR10 carbine. The AR10 carbine receiver extension tube is 7 5/8" inside depth while the M15 version is only 7". And the buffers are different too. The one for the AR10 weighs 2.5oz more than an M15 standard one. With saying all that, the outside diameter of the tubes are the same and will accept "mil-spec" collapsible butstocks.
  13. Sorry I missed this... Glad to help when or if I can and thanx for letting me play too.
  14. The extractor is made to look like that. You will also notice another relief cut on the inside of the extractor also. All of mine look just like that.
  15. The way it was explained to me was... with the kit only coming with the follower, mag body, and floor plate, but using a mag spring from an M14 mag that it might be alright to build. This way your are not buying a complete Gen II mag and building it yourself. It's real hard to keep up on other state magazine laws, but I'm trying.
  16. Actually, the early AR10's used converted M14 magazines. That way they were made before the ban was in effect and were grandfathered in and able to be sold as high capacity mags during that time frame. I know ArmaLite has a tech note on converting them and they have kits on their web site too.
  17. The will not. ArmaLite uppers have a better fit IMO.
  18. :'( still available
  19. Nice boom stick... <thumbsup>
  20. Still available...
  21. I really do feel sorry for the people that work there.
  22. Here is one major thing to concider...
  23. I have seen on ArmaLite's web site, that they have 10 round magazines. They look like a 20 round mag body but blocked for either 5 round and 10 round capacity. It's crimped so you can not get any more than that in there. EX0075 = 5 round EX0072 = 10 round EX0099 = 5 round (true 5 round, short mag) http://www.armalite.com/Categories.aspx?Category=9b3fa949-2de1-4e58-900d-d4b35534acd5
  24. This is my opinion... I went with ArmaLite because. ArmaLite has been doing the .308 AR-10's the longest, ArmaLite has more options or calibers on the AR-10 platform, ArmaLite was the first to have a "Life time Warranty" for the original purchaser, Other than the company that got the military contracts', ArmaLite AR-10's are the only semi auto .308's that have been deployed into combat. The AMU (ARMY Marksmanship Unit) almost swept the board at the Camp Perry National Matches with the AR-10A4BNMF as a service rifle. If I can think of anything else, I'll add it.
  25. I would recomen the SWS E1 free float rail system. http://www.superiorweaponssystems.com/products.htm My upper I built with one... http://308ar.com/forum/index.php/topic,721.0.html
