  1. A small thought... At one point in time retention bonuses for SF guys were reaching six figures to keep them in the ARMY so they wouldnt go to these companies to get better pay for doing the same job.
  2. This is beyond stupid… It’s a comment he made, get over it. It’s freedom of speech. You didn’t see this poop when they disgraced the folded flag. They wrote an apology and life went on.
  3. That's ashame... I've had my Victory since 2008 and had no problems with it, with the exception of keeping tires on it. <laughs>
  4. Need to get some of these... Victory Police Motorcycles
  5. The Freedom Group :cookoo: moved Bushmaster to New York into the Remington factory. <munch>
  6. and they thought Illinois was bad.. :cookoo:
  7. Those maybe good points, but what about the vintage sniper match? Some day soon, the sniper rifles of today will be classed as such.
  8. Thirsty thursday and Bike night around here... Got to get out and ride as much as I can. Only put about 4500 on the bike this year.
  9. once everything has been removed from the barrel and thebarrel nut has been taken off the receiver... use the nylon side of your nylon/brass hammer so you do not marr or dent the metal and tap it off. Do it close to the work area so when you knock it off it wont fall far either.
  10. A couple things I tell people when it comes to deciding on building or complete is this... You build it, you have the satisfaction of saying "yes" I built that. On that same note, if something goes wrong, you need to know how to diagnose and repair it too. You buy a complete rifle, it comes with a life time warranty. If something goes wrong, you can always call up and send it in. So theres a little bit on both sides. If you want to build though, ArmaLite has a kit that is almost complete. All you have to do is decide what barrel, furniture, and style of buttstock you want on it. ArmaLite gunsmith kits
  11. I dont have one available right now and after talking to a few people, there is about a 4 week wait. But go to your local dealer and have them contact ArmaLite and get on the list and to order an A10A4CBF. http://www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=A10A4CBF&ReturnUrl=Categories.aspx?Category=594408c2-b03e-4c8b-8713-83959df8252d Make sure you use that exact part number too.
  12. I was unsure, but what might be your intentions for the rifle? Are you looking more along the lines of accuracy?
  13. So far to me, none are actual valid points. I understand personal opinion, but really? Wasting more time and energy trying to reinvent the wheel here folks.
  14. I was wrong... those are the ones I threw at her to get back in her house. <lmao>
  15. I understand it may not be serialized... and it doesn't matter if you are shipping anything that would require an FFL or not. The fact that they have one would show itself if they are gun friendly or not is all. <thumbsup>
  16. Not to try and rain on anybody parade, but I got to ask... Why ruin perfectly good magazine by cutting them? <dontknow> When making a 5 round magazine the easier way to do it without cutting the mag body or the spring, would be to drill a hole in the back spine of the magazine where the follower goes and put a small pop rivet in it so the follower can't pass. This way, when you decide you want a 20 round magazine back, you drill out the rivet and call it good.
  17. Well if this don't work out, let me know. I will find a matched barrel and bolt in 7.62x39 for ya. It wont be as pretty as the one pictured, but a barrel none the less.
  18. What size barrel are you looking for? Do you want it lined or not?
  19. A few quick pics from my phone... [img width=810 height=456]http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc90/mrraley/firearms%20stuff/2012-07-12_20-30-36_770.jpg [img width=810 height=456]http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc90/mrraley/firearms%20stuff/2012-07-12_20-31-17_230.jpg

  21. first question from now on should be do you have an FFL?
  22. I can honestly say I am glad I got out as they were changing the first time.
  23. hopefully your local can make it work. If not, let me know what you are trying to achieve and I will see if I can get it built.
  24. Unfortunatly, the only way to fix that is what has already been stated... were the bolt and the barrel from the same people?
  25. Here is what I tell people in my classes and something to think about... You have two catagories. Build it OR Buy it. If you build it, you have the satisfaction of saying YES, I built that and enjoy it... BUT, if something goes wrong, you need to know how to fix it. If you buy it, it will come with a LifeTime warrenty to get anything fixed as long as it was not from neglect. I am not sure with the other companies, but I do know for a fact that ArmaLite stands behind there warrenty and will help when they can.
