  1. I have one of the older ones...
  2. Might want to read the new catalog realllll closely.
  3. WOW... just wow... This is right from ArmaLite Tech note #5 CAM PIN FIT: Easy does it! Insert the cam pin straight into the carrier with the flat edge of the pin against the carrier key (you don’t rotate it 90 degrees like the M-15 cam pin). Until parts are loosened by breaking them in, tight tolerances on the AR-10 sometimes require use of a flat tipped screwdriver or other suitable object to slip the cam pin past the bolt carrier key. The cam pin must never be altered to provide clearance.
  4. if you have any left over, I'll try one on my AR10.
  5. I've seen the wood furniture for AR rifles before and they do look nice. One thing that you have to think about though when I saw mention of free float is that you do not want a wood tube like the ArmaLite aluminum free float tube. There would be a concern of strength or flexing. Now for a two piece hand guard, weather it be on a free float tube or just standard drop in hand guard you would have no problem. If it is designed like the standard plastic hand guard you would not have to drill or screw anything into the wood hand guard, use something like the No. 5 mount from Harris to attach the bi-pod to the hand guard and you should be good to go.
  6. Drop... it's always good to have another from Illinois. Might have to do a shoot... when it gets warmer. <thumbsup>
  7. Actually, thank you for the recognition. But I keep coming back cause I like to help where I can. And teaching or sharing through experience is always the best way.
  8. From what I can see and tell everything is coming together. Thanks for letting me come and play too.

  14. Remember that they are $43 ea or a 5 pack for $200... ;D
  15. Out of the last 5 AR10's that I have built, I have used these kits.
  16. ArmaLite also has a shim to correctly place the gas block properly in replacement of the hand guard cap.
  17. Unless I missed something here, and I looked at DPMS web site, they list a 4 round, 10 round, and a 20 round for their .308 rifles. http://www.dpmsinc.com/store/?cat=1512 ArmaLite will at least give you more options ranging from 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 round magazines, and cost less directly from their web site. Plus ArmaLite offers a magazine 5 pack bringing the price even lower yet. http://www.armalite.com/Categories.aspx?Category=c70251ef-dba9-4037-a759-b2d36557d12d or http://www.armalite.com/Categories.aspx?Category=2bea26bc-fb03-4d9b-a3af-d035408f5cf6
  18. The Dueck sights are same plane sights and go on your hand guard system. You should have no problem with that.
  19. Why buy a riser when you could get the proper sights to go on an AR-10 gas block. ArmaLite is not the only one that does this. But for sights you could go with GG&G or MI. I know they both make them specifically for the AR-10 gas block. As for the OP.... along with some of the other questions that have already been asked... What location in the US is it that you live in? The EA rifle barrel is NOT chrome lined. That is why I ask. So depending on what type of climate you have, that is something you might want to take into consideration.
  20. ArmaLite has one... http://www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=EU0238KIT&Category=914c4e04-7f70-4e75-b80c-90f07c3d5b62
  21. This is why ArmaLite makes a "TRUE" 5 round magazine for the hunter out there. <thumbsup>
