Rock River NM....would like to have a Geiselle for comparison...they have so many to choose from though don't know which one to choose

Everything is solid and tight...no muzzle device....zeroed with 125 Nosler BT over 18 gr of H110.... factory Remington 220 gr loads were hitting the dirt and bottom board on target stand...my 150 and 125 gr handloads are about 3" apart.... scope is Bushnell 3-10 3200 Elite swapped off my Rem 700 with Leupold 6.5-20.....AR Stoner 1 piece mount...first one pf those I've tried but seems like s sturdy setup ...just got another 6.5-20 from friend at work..maybe I'll put that onto make sure it's not the scope....be nice for load development anyhow ...

I've got a few rounds through this thing now and have a few observations..heavy bullets, 220 Rem and 175 CMMG factory ammo won't cycle reliably with Wolf buffer spring...125 Nos BT and 150 Sie GK using H110 work great with Wolf spring but feel a little heavy handed with stock spring....I'm gonna try this on a rifle stocked lower to see what heavier buffer does ....never shot anything with such a spread in point of impact using different bullet weights....even at 100 yds its 18-20 inches

Shot some of the 175 MK over the weekend....with a Wolf extra power buffer spring it turned into a single shot rifle. :P...anyone know what powder they use???? ...cuz I want to avoid it..produces a nice black soot on everything...on the up side though it was fairly accurate out of a new barrel...

Had a set of these in my hand last weekend at gun show...first impression was they were a chinese knockoff of an ARMS piece ....didn't know ARMS sold anything polymer ...even after examining the box I wasn't convinced ....priced right though. Didn't care for latch mechanism. I have a set of Magpul sights and believe they're worth the few dollars more

Making your own barrel???? That would be cool....260 Rem or one of the myriad of 6.5's out there???

Sweet.!!!! Those Mega receivers look so badass ..I need to order a set then I'll be committed to finally building a Mega....I'm easily distracted by bolt guns and AR 15's of various calibers....and handguns sometimes...and motorcycles....naked wife

Anyone tried removing the snubber on a buffer to change the weights inside???? I did couple years ago but gave up cuz I didn't have one to replace it if I destroyed original ....wondered if there was a trick to it, after driving out roll pin. It's come up again while contemplating different buffer weights and spring for new rifle.

Looks like better days are coming....sunny and 70's Thursday to Monday .......might just take Friday off. make a long weekend out of it ....need a week of Sundays just to catch up on yard and around the house work

Take a look at Bushnell Elite and Vortex Viper scopes....lotta glass for the $$$$$...Midway just had some on clearance and I waited a day too long ..missed out on the 7-21 size....worked out over the weekend though picked up a used Leupold 6.5-20 at gun show...

Picked up 2 boxes of 175 match kings at gunshow last weekend..$20 seemed like a bargain.......anxious to see how it shoots...waiting on a scope mount so I don't feel like I'm shooting just to say I'm shooting

I'm thinking it might be time and cost effective to just buy brass from brad versus making my own.....made a cut off die out of an old. 223 sizer I picked up...still have to form and trim though..haven't done any quantity yet but it looks like it will be time consuming....then again winter in NY is coming so there will be plenty of time

I'm going the other way...need a reliable 5 round for hunting...wish they made the limiters for 308 mags.....or a short version .........I'm thinking they'll partner up with a big distributor ...like Midway, Brownell's maybe....but a gun company would be good too...long as it isn't the Freedom Group ....

I really like them...especially the $95 price tag....only complaint is they aren't adjustable ...if you do a little fit and polish work they are a fantastic trigger...my varmint AR breaks like glass at 2 1/2 lbs...just bought another one last weekend ,.thinking about trying it in LR 6.5

Nice piece!!! How you liking that scope? Heard good things about them but haven't been able to find one to look through..thought it might be good alternative to a Nikon or Leupold ...........did gun tip over when you took picture?? The way its sitting the camera flash might tip it.....happy shooting :)

And now that I've got my feet wet.....think there's a few more variables at work here than a standard 556 carbine..... parts list:Dan Def upper, SI Def bolt carrier, YHM Todd Jarret handguard, Doublestar gas block, AR Stoner SS 16" bbl ...got couple boxes of Rem 220 gr. (Only thing available)..... test fired ok.cycles and locks back.....few things I noticed though....dents case mouth pretty bad.can see the marks on deflector..if this will never have a suppressor on it, do I need an adjustable gas block?? Recoil impulse seems heavy, should I have a heavy buffer and or spring in it??? Has standard carbine setup now...thinking about an ACE rifle stock for it,that would be heavier buffer. Is factory blackout brass any better than making my own out of Lake City...picked up a 300-221 Redding form die set for couple bucks at a flea market few yrs ago .Is there any difference in the 2 cases??? ...I rather ask than buy stuff for trial and error testing...pretty big pool of knowledge on this sight..may as well use it and learn

I'm right on the far left hand side of it in NY....started raining at 4 am not even a breeze blowing....still raining off and on light then heavy but the wind picked up in last couple hours

Been wanting to catch it ..previews look funny as hell..it's on little too late for me..work calls pretty early in the morning.....have a tough time staying up for sons of guns and true blood ....is it worth watching??? Maybe get it on dvd when it comes out

Nice... <thumbsup>..... drew up plans for similar setup myself but was going to use wood...I give $17 for my vice block so dismissed using them in any quantity.... maybe price has come down since buying mine some years ago...hafta look at next show....that's a clean, functional rig you built there...
