Well if you were a Texan.....you would lay your schlong along the grill after its brought up to 500 dgrees. Then you look at the grill marks and hot spots...sorry the doc told me im in no condition...for the test..havnt healed enough.....besides my maxi pads would catch on fire. you need the blue or black rrubber insulated gloves for removing hot bbq off smoker https://jet.com/product/detail/45bd9e95e36c4725b7e9e003466f5dce?jcmp=pla:ggl:vehicles_parts_a3:vehicle_parts_accessories_vehicle_safety_security_motorcycle_protective_gear_a3_other:na:na:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15&k_clickid=af66614e-5b06-442e-a86c-50f9b46596a6&gclid=CO7t47rTgcoCFQMFaQodDPsHuA you can get em anywhere

DNP pork shoulder for sure....they are easy and tasty.....dont go for the big ol shoulder....look around for a 5 pounder or have the butcher cut you one they do come under different names depending on the part of the country you are in...boston butt, pik nik, shoulder....never ever get a boneless one look at some pork butt posts just this last week....the best ever!..... I dont even inject the small ones with apple juice anymore...nor do i spritz with juice anymore...the oakridge rub has done so well itself.....if you sprtiz your bark will be soggy....... internal temp of pork 200 degrees with the traeger at 250 degrees...bout a seven hour smoke...let the meat rest covered for 30 mins at least....oh you need bear claws to shred up the shoulder lol Wash
  17. 6.8 spc got 4 of em......they rock after shootin a 6.8 a .556 is like shootin a popgun....my 556's havnt seen the light of day in four years or maybe a 300 blackout....just built one after resisting the urge for years.....I likey...neat thing bout the 300 is that it uses the same bolt, carrier, mag ....all you need is a barrel...and then you are shootin .30 cal too,,,,yep do that lol Wash
  18. Ive got lancer 10's that i use with the nexgen's.......they are awesome mags....used em in my other 308's too....run like a sewing machine first class mags in my book Wash
  19. So Ive run out of $hit to do on a cold azz day....can you believe that the lil stickem dot has been on the fence for 2 years LOL ok so now the rifle is in the cradle bubble level on top rail...that makes sure rifle is true in cradle...now the segway has its bubble level make it true to scope while keeping rifle squared away....now you are truing up the reticle nothing more in the rings....true horizontal....okay the rings are done....now the mount bore sight deal....break down the upper put it back in the cradle.... look thru the bore to the dot on the fence...assuming you have the placement (eye relief) where you want it with the mount.its time to tighten down the mount now look back to the scope and get it on the dot too...you are looking for windage more than elevation.....the windage is what is going on with the mount as you tighten down....elevation will take care of itself at the range....use thumb pressure to get the mount true while you tighten down...i use the fatty torque wrench when messing with scopes....if you are anal you will put the segway back on and the bubble back on the top rail and look thru the scope again just to see if the crosshairs are still true....yes they will be Go to the 50 yd range...and your first hit will be pretty ding dang close.....I usually go for bout a inch/ half inch low at fifty.... puts me real close for the 100 yd range bullseye Wash
  20. Aringa not a problem...they sell upper/lower sets.....go for it Wash

Dnp after many years of trying rubs out...here is the one that will make you the smoke meister https://www.oakridgebbq.com/ their rubs arnt full of salt like most are and the best thing is they all create a nice bark and seal juices in.... get the pork/chicken rub the black ops brisket rub and the sweet rib rub....your'e golden a crumb bum rub will ruin your cook...and you can also get a soggy bark from crummy rubs, and there is a jillion out there....number one rub to stay away from is john henrys...suckville !...I know this first hand lol if you wanna brine down the line they have great brines too https://www.oakridgebbq.com/?product=secret-weapon https://www.oakridgebbq.com/?product=dominator-sweet-rib-rub https://www.oakridgebbq.com/?product=signature-edition-black-ops-brisket-rub first off your smoker needs breaking in...that means more smoked meats...lol......always foil the tray......I only clean it out about every 5th 6th cook and thats mainly to clean out the firebox which gathers ashes from burnt pellets...those pellets burn so good they leave very lil ash......leave the inside hood alone and sides alone you wanna build up some smoke and cover up the paint....and you need to get to know where your hot and hotter spots are on the grill...so you know which way to place the thick end of the meat...also important is where you set your vent top gap....im bout 2 finger widths open.....dont get a smoke daddy yet.....you got some playing around to do first....lol also you got a smoke position on our dial...you can smoke at low temp for a lil while then bring up the heat...a pellet grill smokes less than a an offet smoker...higher temps less smoke ill give you an amazon link to the cheapest and best pellets....half the price of traeger http://www.amazon.com/CookinPellets-40PM-Perfect-Smoking-Pellets/dp/B00819OICI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451326490&sr=8-1&keywords=cookin+pellets http://www.amazon.com/CookinPellets-40H-Hickory-Smoking-Pellets/dp/B00HEYVS2O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1451326490&sr=8-2&keywords=cookin+pellets buy 2 bags.......free shipping...great pellets and better price than their pellet website Wash

Do my whole chicken....beer can style or not Put a rub on spray a lil pam over rub if you wish...... 325 degrees bout an hour and a half.... temp probe in breast looking for 165 degrees internal.... smokin good The best thing you can do is go to oakridge bbq rubs and get their rubs.....late right now uk tell you the ones to get tomorrow Wash
  24. Duuuce no bore sight needed....heres the easy peasy way....get a gun cradle if you dont have one....get a bubble level for the top rail.....get one of these http://www.amazon.com/The-Segway-MKIII-Reticle-Leveler/dp/B00F42HGV0 go to your fence or some object 25 yds or whatever away and place a piece of tape....im using one of those round sticky circles about a lil smaller than a quarter that has been on my wooden fence for 2 years...I cant believe it stays on the fence....lol put the rifle in the cradle mount the scope putting the bubble level on the top rail making sure the rifle is level and then using the segway and its bubble level to align the crosshairs....this is just to get the rings straight not anything more..... okay so now take off the upper put it back in the cradle and look thru the rifle bore to the piece of tape or marker you put on the fence...so you got the bore sighted to the marker now just lift up your head to the scope and check where it is.. not caring too much bout elevation its more bout windage as you tighten down the mount to the rail....as long as the windage is pretty much on the dot you will be gtg when you go to the range....this has never ever failed me on any caliber ar with any scope.....im always less than 5 inches off the bull at 50 yds on a new build Wash
