Trooper I was dikkin with sighting in the scope. just long enough to adjust the windage/elevation...settle back in ,pull the trigger..so the barrel wasnt smokin hot but warm....It doesnt take too many shots on this particular barrel,but I cant really give you the exact number maybe 9/10 rounds im thinkin....using privi 168 match .....the barrel wasnt even broken in..and prolly still isnt broken in, cause I never pulled the trigger on the hunt last year...I had a DPMS super SASS bull barrel okay thats redundant... crap I had to rent a gun bearer to help carry that thing....but im old and dried up...thats why I build em light now...8.5 pounds with optics and empty mags is the weight of the twins Wash

RC H still has some .260 nexgen units available with 18" barrel, upper, and bcg which then makes your .260 weigh in at bout 6 1/2 pounds without optics .Thats what I was gonna do,but the ammo is the holdback for me...(great ballistics if you reload) ...so it looks like another .308 in the works of the nexgen variety Wash
