  11. Sorry for your loss Tony. Wash
  12. Daaamn straight !!! the glass should cost more than the rifle!!! Hell yes lol Wash
  13. Tony im sure RRS will start his own thread.....but as far as rude...man you dunno what rude is around here ...just stick around here...relax sit back and enjoy all the train wreck threads.....but never any by me Ha Wash
  14. Dan Nah you dont need to spend 250 bills for building a 308..... Get you a DPMS Claw....some punch kits, a torque wrench....an armorers wrench...although a lot of handguards come with their own wrench for their particular barrel nut Wash http://www.brownells.com/search/index.htm?k=dpms+claw&ksubmit=y http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/general-gunsmith-tools/punches/grace-punch-kit-prod43017.aspx?dym=y http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/general-gunsmith-tools/punches/gas-block-roll-pin-punch-kit-prod70048.aspx?dym=y http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/general-gunsmith-tools/punches/roll-pin-punches-prod26482.aspx?dym=y heres a wrench but you never know what you need till you get your specific rail www.utopiatools.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=UTGS15308&click=5015&utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=shoppingengine&gclid=CMWJ5bCulM8CFUU8gQodKscE_Q im sure i left stuff out but this is a start Wash
  15. RRS these 308's get heavy fast and the barrel is part of the weight problem....most of mine are 16" and ive got one 18"...get you a 18" and a middy gas system....dont get all caught up in the pressure dwell BS...if you have a middy you are gtg...and you get to cover up the nasty looking gas block with a handguard Wash
  16. Why yes he is! lol Wash

  19. Yeppers an AR308 rifle buffer 18" on the barrel max Wash
  20. RRS. If it were me I would slap a Tubbs flatwire spring in the tube and use a plain ol 308 buffer....one and done. . Wash
  21. Thumper. Way to go! Your rifle will only get better when it broken in...you done good! I dunno whats up with these barrel guys..you would think they would have the port size down? Well good for you! After its broken in and you get a load worked up...come back and we will reduce the recoil. . Wash

    Grilling

your first pop quiz will be coming soon....get to reading! Wash
  23. Thumper get you the drill bit number that is .093 #82 or even a #41.096 or a 3/32 bit which is.0938 Wash
  24. We have established it is a rifle length correct?....if so enlarge the port...easy peasy...just put a dowel rod in the barrel to let you know when to stop if doing it by hand drill...if its a drill press no worries Wash
  25. Yep. If it rifle length it needs to be opened a touch.....44 is the size .086 I use in most all of my rifles. 44/45 but they are all mid length. you are just a tad undergassed ...and your bcg is going into battery... drill that sucka out..but you could do one last thing...get a 12 gauge bore mop put some flitz on the mop and polish the chamber with the mop in a drill....that might be all it needs you would be surprised how that has helped folks. Wash Go look up the excaliber thread and its gasport and not cycling
