I still think you have enough room to and a grenade launcher or a shotgun inside of the barrel cover.

Cabelas is too far of a drive for me , its like 95 miles round trip just for powder. Wish Bass Pro shops or Sportsman's whse had that powder.

What store did you get the CFE 223 powder from ?

Here are some pictures before I clean the rifle for the first time 67 rounds were shot through it and it is very clean. Took out the BCG so you guys could look at it. The ejection port opening has been milled after it was dremiled/ported. The lower receiver is a Quentin Defence QD308 ,it is the lowest number I could get ! So I am dubbing it the Kasey Kane #5 build.

I saw this on another sight over the weekend and plan to get a set. Are you with the engineering firm ?

Made up rounds of HORNADY 110GR HP for the 6.8spc with Imr 8208xbr; 28.5 gr (4)w/cci41, 29.0 gr(32)w/wlr , 29.5 gr(4)w/cci41, 30.0 gr(4)w/wlr .

I'll play ,BUT I will be wearing 7 of the vests my GF's dad has made. Those have been battle tested and do stop 30 cal rounds. I have shot one of the CZ eastern bloc cop guns before and I liked it ! <thumbsup>

Shot the 110gr Pro Hunter loads 28.0gr 3 inch circle. 28.5gr 2 inch circle. 29.0gr less than 1.5 inch circle. All with the 16 inch 6.8spc ten shots each at 100 yards.

I've got 3 Plum Crazy's in use ; ar15 pistol , 6.8 & 223 ar15 rifles all with over 500 rounds on them.

No ! I just read his teaching and follow the masters words. His charts have been so valuable when building ,tuning and ordering parts. Pick and play parts selection saves money when you have a good starting point.

Another update, I opened up the ejection port opening even more, removed the door. Now there is no more brass being damaged. I went to range today and shot 50 plus rounds. The 92% loads were dropping at 3 to 4 o'clock , the 96 % loads were coming out at 2 o'clock. I'm going to change from the DPMS spring to the Armalite spring then i'll add some buffer weight if that doesn't work. The gun ran good today ,last round hold open worked every time. No problems failing to chamber, no FTE's . I'll take some picture tommorrow.

147gr = CostWeight range of bullet 147 to 168gr ,because of the twist rate. Save your 180 gr bullets for the other gun. 150gr hpbt or ballistic tip/boat tails are my favorite. Powder , Varget 43gr to 45gr , RL15 42gr to 46 gr Primer , CCI 34 or Win WLR

Made up 14 rounds of 300wsm today : 54.0 gr of XBR ,150 gr Nos Partition Gold spitzers, Win wlrm. This was pretty accurate with steel plates at 350 yards.

On the positive side ... If you dont like it you can always sell the lower to Drew or Matt for $600...LMAO
