Second barrel done ! Installed on the upper/lower, handrail on and gas block in placed. Pics to follow.

Put the handrail on (MOE rifle length) Olive Green. Still need to reinstall the gas block.

I got the 270WSM barrel finished today. This is the second attempt. The first barrel got scrapped after 3 of 4 gunsmiths told me not to shoot it. This barrel is 24 inches long ( 1-10" twist ) and made from a Green Mountain blank. I still need to buy a muzzle brake for it and get it Blued. I drilled the gas port hole today and aligned the gas block. My friend put a tactical champher on the muzzle and we mounted the barrel on the upper receiver. If I have the time I will put on the Magpul hand rail tonight. I'll take some pictures after I assemble the rifle. <thumbsup>

I found some "Pink Duct Tape" , you can use it when those Pink parts break. Tool kit must have item !

I have this fear that I will shoot right thru a load my gun loves and not even know it because I can't shoot for poop with it yet, and loose that load forever without a clue. Or maybe my loads so far are crap and it makes me think I can't shoot straight <dontknow> You will know ! The pattern size will decrease and it will feel right : range will be a .2 to .4 gr near max load that your gun can take without pressure signs.

Is this the 162gr bullet ? Or a different weight ? What powders do you have ?

Pink hogue grip & handguard !

Great info No Fail ! So your accuracy nodes are 47.1 gr and 2.790" for CFE. When you clean your BCG could you post / give a comparsion to another powder that you use ? If it is cleaner or dirtier than ( Varget ). Thanks, Mike H

I can get chrome moly steel gas blocks in 0.750" dia. Its a low profile design with thicker side walls and two hex nuts on the bottom. Non adjustable . No pics yet . Contact me if your interested. Mike H
