  1. Thanks brother for that site...They had some interesting stuff about the life of brass, They got a 308 bolt action and just neck sized the brass, (Remington) and got as much as 150 firings out of them before they split, and when they annealed them, they got less, go figure...I've been loading for 40 years and i never tried or even thought of getting that much from brass...Still learning something everyday...
  2. I didn't know Giraud has an annealer, i have his trimmer and nothing else comes close...The Annealer looks like a good machine, as all his other stuff, but i would question how much you need it unless you a ton of shooting a week...According to the video he has, he says you don't have to quench the brass, that's news to me, i always put my brass in a long pan with the water halfway up the brass, and as i annealed each piece i pushed it over in the water, you can do quite bit like that...Just my .02
  3. I think i remember when it started, <laughs> i was going to post another picture, but i think i'll wait till you feel better... <thumbsup>
  4. I was one of the lucky ones who got in on the first 300, man i like it, especially since i'm left handed....You move either side and the other one moves, also the right side is a little bigger to allow for the forward assist...
  5. I've used these guys for many years... http://www.wideners.com/itemview.cfm?dir=278|282|909|980
  6. When i added up my Mk12 mod 0, it totaled up to 4 grand*, i added it again and again, and i couldn't believe that i spent that much on a .223 AR... * Thats with a $1100 Leupold
  7. With all this stuff going on, it brings light to things that i didn't know about... http://www.wtnh.com/dpp/news/hartford_cty/gun-seizure-statute-brought-to-attention#.UA0yL6PN3BY
  8. Yes, brother heminut, thats the press i started with that i bought in 1973!! At that time i didn't know anyone who reloaded so i read, read, and read, by the time i actually loaded my first round (45ACP) i had read so much that i was scared that i was going to blow up myself and the gun lol...
  9. I can't imagine what this guy did...He left his girlfriend and 4 year old, dropped his 4 month old on the floor and ran out of the movie, got in his car and called his girfriend from a mall to see if she was alright... <dontknow> I'm glad i wasn't in combat with him... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2176718/The-Dark-Knight-Rises-Colorado-Shooting-Jamie-Rohrs-lost-baby-floor-panic-massacre-cinema.html
  10. So true, so true... <lmao>
  11. I started before my kid was born, i didn't want to wait 20 years... <laughs>
  12. I saw the same thing happen just before the assault rifle ban, i remember mentioning it to some friends about how all of a sudden some people are coming out of the woodwork and how it was sealing the faith of the ban...
  13. You're welcome brother... <thumbsup>
  14. I measured it with a caliper, the forward assist is 0.4855 where it goes into the receiver, the port cover length is 3.3010, and the height is 0.8830, this is from my AR10...
  15. 6132expert, i agree with everything you said, i, like yourself have seen combat, and most people think they know but they don't have a clue, all they know is what they see in the movies or on TV...In reality what can a person do who is in his house with his wife and kids and a truck pulls up with armed soldiers...Although i would be comfortable fighting side by side with the guys on here, except the fight would be over by the time we all got together lol...I think these people have been preparing this for a long time...Tom
  16. I put a Colibri in an old JC Higgins .22, and gave to a friend to shoot, he pulled the trigger and says opps, misfire i said didn't you see the puff of dirt downrange... The only sound i hear on that rifle is the hammer dropping...
  17. Read This! Whether you believe this or not, this might be a glimpse of our future...
  18. Welcome brother, nice looking rifle... <thumbsup>
  19. Welcome big O, <thumbsup> looking foward to the pictures..
  20. Glocks are like AR's to me, even though they look the same, i can't just have only 1, but as the saying goes "Viva La Differences"... Here is a 6" longslide i had to have, goes on a G21, and come with 2 interchangable KKM barrels, a 45acp and a 10mm, also comes with BoMar sights, if i remember correctly there were only 100 made... sorry about the extra pictures, the error message said to send again...
  21. 6132, That Was very special, as a helicopter crewchief/gunner in Vietnam, i was a recipient of mechanics like yourself who kept our helicopters flying and got me back to base mission, after mission and finally home...If no one has said this to you before my heartfelt thanks to you and others who kept us in the air... P.S. I like the way you think...
  22. I have one for about a year now and its been great, i like my eotech, but the batteries are killing me...I also find i am more accurate with the Patrol, then the eotech, but its probably just me...
  23. I can see it, looks great, <thumbsup> definitely a tease
  24. Yep, that's correct, after 3 days of it i can now lift any nurse ( under 100lbs) with my tongue... :fawkdance:
