Law "enforcement" for this kind of stuff has nothing to do with your safety or well being. As noted, its is revenue generation and infringement by a militantly anti-gun state government. They dont actually want to prevent people from committing the "crime", they want to snare as many people with it as possible and punish them for having different ideas on basic freedoms.

all mine are German. Smith was the importer for walther for a long time so my P99 has a S&W logo on one side of the slide but all the proof marks are German. Smith did license the design and called it the SW99. Walther made the frame and smith made the slides here in the US. Magnum Research is doing the same thing with the current generation baby eagle MR9. its a Geman made Walther P99 frame with a stainless US made slide. Mags are interchangeable with P99 and PPQM1s. For a while interarms/ranger and then smith was making the PPKs for Walther. Tons of clones as well. The actual German made Walther PPKs are generally the most wanted and people pay alot for them. Walther has been teasing new German PPKs but nothing solid yet. WaltherUSA handles repair stuff now.

id agree trigger and barrel are definitely the top two concerns. Criterion also makes a rifle 16" as well as a couple others (rainier, CMMG) If the manufacturer didnt get the gas port right it may run poorly. My Criterion runs flawless on anything. In theory it should be a smoother recoil impulse. Mine feels nice but I built it this way mostly for aesthetic reasons and I doubt its significantly different from the same barrel in mid length.

And conversely. ..only reason there isnt stronger gun laws since 2012 is because of Obama. The republicans HAD to oppose him every step or risk loosing votes. They dont actually care about our rights for the most part. If we had a punk republican in office like McCain or Romney I guarantee we would be knee deep into another federal ban of some degree. they would sell it sugar coated like they were doing us a favor like NRA and Regan "we made this tiny compromise because it would be worse if we didnt...we did it to protect your rights" I voted for trump because he is not one of them (at least not yet) he doesnt play the game. Some of the shittiest people ive ever met were in the military so im sure its a real possibility. Whenever I see people defending someone just because "hes a vet/he served his country" I just shake my head. will be interesting to see what they dig up on this. I almost tossed it because initially the voucher didnt cover shipping and shipping was $8-12. I saw on the AR15 forum someone mentioned they changed it to cover the total order but all the cheap stuff was out of stock. I got a restock alert yesterday and tried it and it went through. Only a $15 bottle but ill take it for $3....and any settlement money not used probably goes to the lawyers.

Cool to see a bullet go that far and land roughly where you want it to, but these "records" are getting silly. Given enough ammo you could probably eventually land a .22 on that plate.

Just used my $22.50 voucher to order a camelback water bottle from the eotech site. Cost me $3.50 out of pocket. Almost went for the coffee mug and it would have been free.

Did pretty well with my last pair of bates. They had the mesh panels and the stitching between the mesh and leather around the heels gave out...but not until the tread was about gone anyway. One of the zipper pull tabs busted off, but the zipper itself was solid.

Im not gonna say never....but I generally feel the same way. Super tactical company names make me shake my head.

Way sharper angle on the PA ports. the machine work on the MBM is beautiful and ill probably have it milled for a "seamless" match with the barrel at some point.
