Just caught your post brother Moagm did you have to take apart upper and lower and then send it in to be coated first? Got a RRA lower and have been looking at all these ideas from you guys my head is spinning.What do you guys think about a 14.5 barrel with what I think is the dissipatetor look [barrel almost to the end?]Coated upper,lower,and BCG? and probably stay with Smith Vortex flash hider as recoil doesn't seem like a big deal to me in 5.56.What do you think projected cost's would be like.Lower is complete just need upper parts.Shoot on bros.

Working at the Uof Chicago saw this middle aged guy looking thru garbage cans in the plaza in front of the hospital.This one summer day with everyone outside,doctors,nurses,construction guys,this guys comes along doing he usual well it's hot out. Are you kidding me,I was stunned crazy poop.

You know even my money is tight I was gonna try and support uncle Armalite and get the upper for $399.99 sent him an Email a few days ago asking about maybe different barrel [14.5] or twist left my #no. and mentioned being on this form no response at all.Then I called sales left #no. got a call later in the afternoon asked the guy same questions he said it was what it was.Then I mentioned I wanted to put it on a RRA lower and I could sense an attitude,and he mentioned guys that worked for Armalite broke off and started RRA.It was almost like the attitude I had found in some Harley shops [when things were good] that we don't really need you,you need us.Well it wasn't exactly what I wanted but was trying to support.Will follow the suggestions previously mentioned and put together exactly what I want/need FYI.Shoot on bros.

One thing I did do for my 5.56 and .308 I maintain a round count for each barrel [see what happens in the future] the other variable is the cryogenic treatment of barrels.RRA Lar-8 has the barrel on this model treated as such,other companies offer this process for barrels in general.Armalite in there FAQ. states they found this to be of no benefit and does not do it.What are your thoughts on this matter.Shoot on bros.
