  1. Love the CNC! Used to do that for 10-hour days, after getting certified by the local CC for manual machining (nobody wants that anymore...just button pushers).
  2. Same in Arizona. "It is a felonly to knowingly commit a violent crime while wearing body armor." WTF? "Knowingly"?
  3. Checking out this video on the last scissor makers in England. Truly an artform that is easily lost with mass-production techniques, like so many other lost (or dwindling) crafts. Post up some videos of people working their crafts! This stuff is fascinating!
  4. Aawww...so cute and fluffy!
  5. Is that a brass- or woodwind?
  6. /\/\/\/\/\ Did Drew make that video?
  7. Green can with the pato on it, same size and shape as the yellow.
  8. Do it! In a few months you can finance a couple of 308ARs by selling that WASR.
  9. Lowers? Lowers? What the hell about the matched uppers to go with the lowers?!!?
  10. Robo, you ever use El Pato's Jalapeño Salsa for that recipe?
  11. He did, and it is...he still didn't wear the bunny suit.
  12. Get the sawzall and cut out his cats...then film his face when he starts his car up.
  13. <laughs> I don't know about that...but I have heard about some strange hugs. <lmao>
  14. Says the pink-rifle shooting cop, regaling tales of his trips to "the Bay area".
  15. It IS nice! Glad to have you around. Ignore R2 (the Armalite pusher)...he gets defensive if his helmet is strapped too tight.
  16. Interesting points. Dad said they did a study back in the late '60s-early '70s trying to find the optimum solid color that was easiest to hide, in all manners of terrain. He said the result was olive drab blended the best in most terrains. That may or may not be true but I find it interesting that the Israeli military wears olive drab.
  17. Arizona's legislature and governor signed a law to allow the calling up of the militia (redundant to the state constitution), with formal structuring and training. The legislature then dropped the ball on funding. The ball is rolling though.
  18. Get's hosed. http://np.reddit.com/r/offmychest/comments/2cm5xt/am_i_a_bad_person_for_this/
  19. 32mm for fixed power. Standard 50mm for the larger variable scopes.
  20. The Army's new camo: "The Army is calling its new camo the Operational Camouflage Pattern, though it’s been referred to in previous tests as Scorpion W2. It is similar in appearance to Crye Precision’s MultiCam, but was developed by Army Natick Labs in Massachusetts. Scorpion W2 uses a color palette of muted greens, light beige and dark brown." http://ht.ly/zWiz3 Edit: It looks very much like the colors used in WWII camos, if a different pattern. I like it!
  21. Well those 929s should start selling very well!
  22. <laughs> Another I heard was push a marble down the window slot in the door (if you can). Person I heard about took it to several shops to find out what was rattling and nobody ever found it...they sold the vehicle.
  23. Welcome from Marana, AZ! You'll have to come up to the Marana Shooting Club to visit us.
  24. Personally, I like fixed power scopes for rifles used within 400 yards and not so powerful...a 4x is quite a bit of magnification, 3x is a bit better. Great for snap shooting! IMO, where you get the advantage with a variable power is switching from a low power when attempting to locate your quarry, then being able to zoom in if necessary. Forgot where I was going next...got that hillbilly Thunderstruck stuck in my head.
  25. Good morning!
