  1. Then master lets the dog go!
  2. I don't know why I thought each hashmark was 4 years service...gold for honorable service, red for rabble rousers.
  3. Dude is wearing enough hashmarks on his sleeve to have founded the Army and looks like he just got out of college...if that.
  4. Marines busting an Army impersonator:
  5. While the article does mention the founding in 1526 of Beretta, it doesn't mention that Beretta is the oldest continually operating company (and family owned at that!) of any type in the world. Once they complete their move I'll have to pick up a shotgun.
  6. Welcome from AZ ZhouJett! That is a beautiful shooting stick!
  7. You're going to have to make a new catagory! http://www.silencerco.com/salvo/
  8. That's a tough course for any rifle/handgun combo! Their "kettle ball toss" is outstanding:
  9. With a bit of new technology...like a quadracopter cam. http://www.forgottenweapons.com/2-gun-action-with-a-remington-model-8-video/
  10. Sorry to hear you're going through this. A lesson to be learned by those starting up manufacturing (coffcoffShibicoff). Don't take any new orders until your production can handle it.
  11. I figured it was safest to just build one and blame it on the ladies.
  12. "Regular" Walmarts here quit selling firearms. Walmart Super Centers have a very nice liberal-head exploding display of long guns, to include ARs and riot guns.
  13. I have one of their 2-7x33mm Revolution scopes and it is a good scope! Very hard to beat for the money.
  14. Don't know if it makes a difference but a couple of people on a different forum SWEAR sorting by flash hole size makes a difference. Two guys noted that Lake City brass had four varying sizes of flash holes, even within the same lot number, and came to the conclusion they must have four different machines for that operation.
  15. Had this stuck in my head for a few days now:
  16. "We thought it was an AN-26, so we are justified," is just as valid an excuse for a bad shoot as any other for shooting the wrong target. Ironically, a couple of days ago, I just read a crappy article titled "Documented CIA Assasination Attempts: Hits & Misses". The USA and the West are not above removing national leaders that prove to be thorny in their side. EDIT: Oh yeah...looks like Malaysian Airways is the new Korean Air Lines.
  17. "As you train, so you act." All we do is combat training, no scoring, no standing in the box or be "DQ'ed", no lowest time. So our club had a Turkey Shoot. Kids' catagory and Adults' catagory, rimfire and centerfire, both handgun and rifle. Very simple...whoever pops the most balloons with 10 rounds wins. Not many kids shooting but the adults were almost all either former law enforcement or current competition shooters. My daughter took half the prizes for the kids, I took half the prizes for the adults. Lots of butthurt that day. And now we don't have Turkey Shoots for prizes anymore.
  18. Bought mine (the first one) in 1994 or so...when Springfield was the only manufacturer of stainless 1911s. The model is now the "standard GI" or something. Same thing...identical to the CMC mags, right down to the basepad holes. Just don't say "McCormick", only the patent number.
  19. Already the theory is the missile was meant for Putin's aircraft, which was on a similar course about 1/2 hour behind the Malaysian airliner.
  20. Yup.
  21. +1 on the CMC mags! Are they proprietary by Springfield now? The mag that came with my first SA 1911 has the same patent number on it as Chip's magazines.
  22. "Didn't find one bird..."
  23. <laughs>
  24. My back went out just looking at this one.
